My left eye-lid never twitches, but these last few days it's been twitching all the time! It's driving me nuts.

But often it would get very annoying and if it was often enough for botox it would be past annoying!
) So they put me on medication for a couple years until that wasn't working. Now it is botox.Maridw said:That's how mine started. For the first couple years it was on again, off again. Then it got to where it was all the time. First the doctor's said it was stress. But when I was really stressed, it didn't twitch at all, and when I wasn't stressed, when I knew I was relaxed, it was going ninety to nothing.
Finally after putting up with this, I figured it out by during a web search. It was another year before a doctor said, "Yes it is Blepharospasm". (FINALLY!!! duh!) So they put me on medication for a couple years until that wasn't working. Now it is botox.
But that 2nd week after the botox I absolutely hate.
Here is a link to a picture that was taken a week after the botox. Picture
dmslush said:What kind of medication did they try before the botox? I recently had a little surgical proceedure done on the twitchy eyelid recently (nothing to do with the twitchy), and I have sworn, as god is my witness, I will never let anyone give me shot in my eyelid again. It was absolutely horrible.
, you have to have a good sense of humor about it.
Maridw said:Tigger&Belle - I know you weren't making light of it. I found that since I have had this for over 11 years, it is easy to discuss. I will tell anyone who notices exactly what I have. When you have one eye that likes to do what ever it wants, you have to have a good sense of humor about it.

I've ran into the bathroom to look in the mirror before when I've had the eye twitching to see if I can see if happening. Of course then it stops. The hand thing I've had since college and I think it has something to do with gripping since it would happen more when I was writing a lot. I would sit there in college and start staring at my hand, in a trance. Another example of me being a cheap date.
Hey, nothing wrong will killing 2 birds with one stone!
soon if I don't get my injections. I'll just wear dark glasses everywhere, including inside.
