Stop the presses! I ordered pictures for scrapping!

I am so bad at getting my photos printed, so I can actually work on scrapping. But I just ordered 88 photos. Including, all the photos for my March 2006 Disneyland trip. For those pictures I am using swap items from one of the first swaps I ever did. The "Happiest Celebration on Earth Swap" hosted by MyLittlePiglet in August 2006! I think the only people from that swap still around these parts are Rebecca (rlovew), Brooke (SIOH) and sometimes I see Yoda'sMom! And also some pieces from a LaughingPlace.com swap I did with Disneyland_Emily!

I am using the Thomas Kinkade 50th anniversary scrapbook album for that trip, and it's an odd size, so I had to lay everything out to figure out which pictures to order. So once I get them, I should be able to put the album together quickly. Look for pics in the Using Scrap Items challenge thread on the swaps board.

Sometimes I find that ordering pictures is the hardest part of scrapping! In fact, if I don't sit down and order more soon, I won't have anything to do at CKC in April! But I hate sitting at the computer and trying to make decisions on what to order. Good job on getting yours ordered............P

I am sooooo bad at ordering photos this year I had a plan and it helped a lot

Plan layout LOL

1 make photo album on desk top name it Disney 2008
in that main photo album make 7 (or as many as you like) photo albums name them. I named mine AK, MK, HS, Epcot, Resorts, transportation and DD

Now COPY (yes copy) all the Disney 2008 photos into desktop album called Disney 2008. I have over 5,000 photos so don't tell me you have to many LOL

Now sort DON'T look at any photos. You know what I mean by looking
just sort each photo into 1 of these albums AK, MK, HS, Epcot, Resorts, transportation and DD

NOW go in each album and SEE (still no looking ) what kind of photos you have. I have lots of ride photos so I made albums for each ride, resturants etc. Now sort (nope no looking yet ) each photo into their new photo albums within each park album.

Once all the photos are sorted into new albums and organized NOW YOU CAN LOOK

Open 1 sub album within any park album you want. Go through all the photos DELETE any you will not use.

I found sketches that I liked and tried to match the ride photos to the sketches.
I found this might be a little annoying to sort at first but it saved me a bundle on prints LOL.

When I ordered my prints I only ordered 1 park folder at a time (maybe 300 to 500 photos). I ordered Hollywood Studios, I'm almost done scrapbooking that park and I only started Feb 15 I think.

I could actually use that approach for something I'm working on. I have all of our pictures PLUS all of my friends pictures for the days they were with us throughout a 2 wk trip. Some are the same, some not. Going back & forth between mine & hers was getting impossible for figuring out what to order to print.

My mom was with me on my Disney 2008 trip we had lots and lots of photos so I know exactly what you are going through LOL

I remember that swap! Is that the swap you made the awesome Sun wheel? Which I have to say is one of my fav swap pieces ever which I still need to go back and add to one of my older DCA books as its not the Sun wheel anymore (I kept holding on to it for my next DLR trip and look what happened..)
