Stop Making Me Laugh Or I'll Pee My Pants! Go Back! I Lost My Shoe! Trip Report!

Great news about your BIL. So sorry your Aunt is not well. My mom says that is the worst part of getting old. Is losing your friends and the illnesses they have. I know you will continue to be there for your Mom. You are a good daughter and friend.

Ginny

I really appreciate all the kinds words and prayers from my Dis friends. I just so want to get away.....heck, right now, I'd let Calgon take me away. :rotfl:

I didn't tell ya'll about what happened at lunch....more drama. I called my niece (the know it all one) to ask how her daddy was doing and to extend my offer to take her to work every day (she doesn't drive....and she's 30+ years old:scared1:) She answered the phone and before I could get a sentence out of my mouth, she says....I am at work. I can't get anything done. I told her I was calling to ask about her daddy and then she cut me off and said and I quote "Listen to me! I can't get anything done because everybody keeps calling and bothering me!" to which I said don't worry about it because I won't be calling you any more and I hung up on her.

I know that everybody is all stressed out right now. I get it but don't you dare start telling me "Listen to me!" like I am a five year old child. If she wants to be bossy to somebody, she can but it ain't gonna be me she is doing it to.

I called Mama and told her not to go through my niece anymore when she wanted information. We will make sure we go around her.

My word!

Geesh, you were trying to be nice too. Remember that saying. She will need you long before you need her. Aren't you glad you don't have her life? We are glad you are not her. You are way more fun. And you wouldn't treat us as if we were 5. Too much.

Ginny

Oh! Lisa, I'm so sorry you had to encounter that...I know it had to have ruined your whole lunch...my blood pressure would have soared and I would have started shaking...I agree with what Ginny said; she will need you before you need her!!!
I hope your day gets better and you just vent away...since I found the dis and all my wonderful friends I know my BP and my nerves have settled a great deal!!
sending you some more sun to help lift your spirits :sunny:

When I last left off, we had just entered the preshow room of Dinosaur and we were listening to Mrs. Huxtable.

There were several teenage boys in the room with us and one tapped Lacey on the shoulder and asked her a question. When she turned around, I could tell he was really embarassed. He thought she was somebody else. We could hear them talking behind us. They were picking on him and I heard him say but she's really cute.

Mrs. Huxtable finishes her spiel and the door opens. The guys followed along behind us the entire way. I guess they worked up their nerve because they started asking Lacey where she was from, what school she went to, etc. Then they asked how old she was and you could see their faces fall when she said 22. Poor babies. Lacey, being the sweetie that she is, kept talking to them so they wouldn't be embarassed. They talked all the way down the stairs and even down to the place where the castmember asks how many are in your party. Lacey told them to have a great time and we boarded our truck.

I took this picture while standing in line:

About to blast into the past:

Our exposive entry:

We have ridden this ride soooo many times and we know that they are going to take your picture so we decided to do a funny one. John would act like he is asleep, Lacey would cover her eyes and Hunter and I would act terrified. Problem is, we couldn't remember which dinosaur it is that takes your picture. So, every dinosaur that came along, we would "assume our positions". Then, we'd get tickled when we didn't have our picture taken. By the time we got to the picture taking dinosaur, it was all we could do to keep from laughing. I took a picture of our picture. You can't really see the details. I did buy it and I'll scan and post it tonight. For now, here's the picture of the picture. We are in the front row.

100_2441.jpg

Everybody was laughing their heads off at us because they thought we were seriously scared and asleep. They were pointing us out as a group and individually. It was really funny to stand there and listen to people laugh at us.

I went to the side and bought the picture and we were on our way to conquer a mountain and meet a Yeti! We expected the line to be really really long but was surprised to see that it was just 20 minutes. What? We hopped right on in and all along the way, Hunter was saying he really didn't want to ride. John doesn't care for the ride either. But, we wanted to do things as a family and everybody ride together. Hunter decided to sit with Lacey because she swore she'd hold on to him.

The wait time was less than 20 minutes and soon we were inching our way up Everest and then zooming around and in the mountain. When we stopped because the tracks were broken, we could see up ahead but not way far out because we were several trains back. Before we knew it, we were riding backwards and screaming like little girls!

When we pulled back into the train station Hunter looked at us and said "There I rode it. Are you satisfied?". Yep, he was pretty p.o.'d about having to ride. We asked him if he wanted a hat or a t-shirt or something but he couldn't find anything he really wanted to we left without spending any money in the store. Isn't it funny how he absolutely loved the ride two years ago and then decided last year that he didn't like it. :confused3 Oh well, we'll probably ride again next year and he'll like it.

We knew that we didn't want to ride Kali River Rapids because we didn't want to get soaked. Hunter and I wanted to walk the Maharajah Jungle trail but John and Hunter did not. It was decided that they'd just find a place to rest while Hunter and I checked out the trail. Before we left them, I showed them how the little temple thing and Expedition Everest lined up. And, I took this picture:

***Sorry it's a short installment but I really need to get some stuff off my desk. I had to get a new printer and I installed it myself right after lunch. Now, I have to play catch up.

Up next: Hunter and I are on a mission to find tigers and bats!

Your family can have more fun doing the weirdest stuff. That was another word I subbed. I have a pic I'm getting ready to post. I hope you like it.

Grrrr...that makes me mad. You were just trying to be nice! Good for you, for telling her that you wouldn't be calling her again. You were just trying to show concern, and it sounds like other were too. And you were gonna do her a favor, too!

So, tell me, why is she 30 plus and not driving? I can't say anything b/c I won't get on an interstate unless I have no other choice, but I DO drive and will drive anywhere but on the interstate. Just curious as to her reasoning for this...

I know that she's all upset about her Daddy and she's probably tired but I don't have to listen to her be rude to me.

Why doesn't she drive? Because she's a big old tiddy baby. I spelled that wrong on purpose because I think it'd be bleeped out if I spelled it correctly. She actually knows how to drive but she doesn't have a car. She said she gets too nervous and too scared when she tries to drive. Big old baby!

Great update, Lisa. I laughed and laughed at you guys on Dinosaur. That is the funniest thing that John acted like he was asleep!!! :rotfl2: Such a riot!

Awww, how sweet that those boys in line thought Lacey was cute. I'm guessing she was older than them. She's such a good girl to keep up the conversation so they wouldn't be embarrassed.

Good for you for getting Hunter on EE. You know, I thought the younger children were the only ones who couldn't make up their minds whether they liked a ride or not. Mitchell loved Splash Mtn and did it twice in March with no issues at all, and then we rode practically the same ride (no animatronics) at Dollywood and he hated it. But it was the same thing!!!! Who knows? Children are finicky I guess. :confused3

As always, looking forward to more! :cheer2:

:rotfl: You crack me up. Yeah, some things you just have to suck up and go ahead and do. She can't depend on someone to drive her around all her life. A movie comes to mind: Driving Miss Daisy.

But you know, I could really suck it up and hop on the interstate, too. Now THAT makes me nervous! Just the merging. I got ran off the road once and have not been inclined to try it again. Silly, huh? :goodvibes

Lisa~ I love the dinosaur picture! too :rotfl2: funny!!!!

Mel~ WDW SpM has things to see "great animtronics " I'm told so you don't have that build up! a flume ride like in Dollywood you can see the climb and the drop and that is all you SEE!! I don't blame him...I have been told I HAVE to ride SPM when we go next time!!! I have never ridden it!! I like the TMRR but did not ride last May because I stayed with Ashton in FL! But, he should be tall enough to ride both when we go!

Dayne just said looking at the pix and Snow White advertisment came on TV at the same time...I don't want to wait a year to go back...me either!!:headache: how could we possibly talk Danny into it!!

I'm going to try to get a little short one in while the boss is on the phone.

Hunter and I set off the trail leaving John and Lacey looking around in Asia. The first animal we came across was this humongous, on my word, I forgot this lizard's name......got it! Kimodo dragon. Took two pictures:

Right before you get to the bat house, there's an enclosure with a taper. I have never seen this guy or maybe it's a girl, moving....ever.....so imagine our surprise when we get there and we see this:

100_2447.jpg

100_2448.jpg

We watched the taper swim for a while and then were off to see the bats. There were quite a few people in the bat viewing building and it took us a while before we could wiggle our way in to see the bats up close. A few pictures:

Even though we like the kimodo dragons (I know I am probably spelling that wrong but you know what I am talking about), the taper and the bats, everybody knows that the tigers are the stars of the Maharajah Jungle Trek. This picture is pretty doggone bad but I'm posting it anyway.

100_2453.jpg

We couldn't see very good from this window so we continued on around to where we knew we'd get a better look.

Here's my goofy child saying a prayer under the prayer flags:

100_2455.jpg

He said he really did say a prayer. It was a thank you for having my whole family together prayer. Sweet boy!

Here's Hunter standing in front of the hidden Mickey in the mural. We have to take his picture with it every year. It's tradition.

100_2456.jpg

We walked around the corner and there they were.....TIGERS!

100_2457.jpg

100_2459.jpg

100_2458.jpg

We knew we needed to get a move on because we still had to see Festival of the Lion King and leave the park in time to get to the luau. I took one last picture before we went in search of John and Lacey.

Well, that's true! You kind of get surprised by the drop on SPlash Mountain. You see the drop on the others! I guess you're right! :thumbsup2

I wish you didn't have to wait a whole year either. How can we get you there sooner? Hmmm...

Lisa, I was looking thru my photos of your trip and couldn't figure out why I wasn't in yours. But I found mine. I will have to look for Mel's.

Enjoy

I love this picture! Now, why didn't I see you peaking around Lacey's head? It must have been pretty dark in there!:rotfl2:
