We have twice stayed in St. Augustine, at the Hampton Inn right off the Interstate. It is just south of Jacksonville. You can get up in the am and get to Disney by rope drop, if you get up early. It's about a 2 hour drive. You miss the Jacksonville rush hour, and you are on tail end of the Orlando morning rush. It is reasonably priced and clean, although a little worn. It has no real amenities (not even a workout room), but it's a Hampton Inn so there's breakfast. If you have time, historic St. Augustine is really neat, and only about 15 minutes from the hotel. We would prefer to stay in the historic area, but it's not feasible if the goal is to get to Disney first thing in the am.
