Has anyone ever been on the cruise and had the stop at Nassau cancelled due to weather or anything else? I have to make reservations for my excursions tomorrow! I'm still debating whether to book the Dolphin Swim since it isn't through Disney and I wouldn't get a refund if we didn't stop at Nassau for any reason. Has anyone had this happen? Thanks!

The only time I recall the Nassau stop cancelled was when it fell on a national holiday because everything was shut down. I don't remember any other details, sorry.

The harbor at Nassau is much more protected than the slip at Castaway Cay, so it is much less likely to be cancelled. That being said, one cruise last year was redirected to South Carolina instead of Nassau when a hurricane blew directly over New Providence Island (Nassau). They still managed to get to Castaway Cay later in that cruise.

We had to skip Nassau in August 1999 because of Hurricane Dennis. The captain managed to find a nice sunny spot for a day at sea. The next day we were scheduled to stop at Castaway Cay but were unable to do so because of the weather. We went to Nassau instead as the storm had passed there by then. Only problem - it was a Sunday and the shops were all closed!
