My dh and ds forgot the camera on the bus from the MK to POR. Someone thought that they would help themselves and keep it. All my photo's from Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday we were on it! And it was my Canon Rebel. I'm so mad, 1) this just proves that humanity really sucks these days. 2) It was on a resort bus! I could see it if I lost it at the MK, but a bus! You are taking something from someone who is staying at the same place! And you KNOW they are on vacation and that you just made it all suck! Not to mention the photo's of my kids vacation that were on the memory card! I can't even believe this is happening. Every morning we check in with lost and found.

How horrible!! I can't believe how some people can live with themselves. I know this won't be much comfort but I believe 100% in Karma.. and whoever stole your camera has a Karma bus heading straight at them if they don't turn the camera over to L&F.

I hope it turns up. I'm so sorry!

I"m so sorry!!
My brother had this happen to him 2 years ago on the busses. They were carrying a stroller left the bag on the seat. Notice as soon as they got off called to the next stop and it was gone. Camera, and Video camera both gone.

when we stayed at Disney with our sil and bil, they left the camera on the bus also ......it was right before she was leaving......when she got back to NH she called disney as she realized then it was missing........they had it.....in lost and found....so two days or three even......keep on checking....maybe someone will be kind and return it to a Disney CM.......
Fingers crossed for you

Oh, that just sucks!

I'm actually really worried this will happen to me. I just replaced an ancient and bulky Fuji on a shoulder strap with a compact Canon. I just know I'm going to set it down somewhere . . . But I did read of a good thing to do. Either put your address on the memory card or make your FIRST picture an index card with your name and address. If the worst happens, you've probably lost the camera, but there's at least a chance that the memory card will show up in the mail anonymously.

Keep checking L&F - you never know.

Try calling lost & found it's worth a shot.

My dh left our camera at Mama Melrose in DHS and by the time he went back for it, it was gone. They suggested he file a lost & found report at guest relations. Nothing turned up during our trip but a few weeks after we got home our camera came via UPS at no charge to us from WDW lost and found.

Good luck,

TJ

That does suck. I hope it turns up in lost and found.

I also don't know how people can live with themselves. I know if I found something like that there is no way I would be able to keep it. The guilt would hang over my head like a dark, heavy cloud. I guess it was just the way I was raised. I hope whoever has it will feel some sort of remorse for hanging on to it, and turn it in to L&F.

I so hope the person who took it has a change of heart and turns it into lost and found for you. I am so sorry it happened to you.

I also agree about how it sucks anymore and it is sad that some parents are not even teaching their children not to take things that don't belong to them. My daughter's watch was stolen from her bus yesterday morning. My kids and I turn in lost items we find.

OK, your husband and son left the camera on the bus, and you are assuming someone stole it. If the bus driver found it, and turned it in to Lost and Found, it would be on it's way to the central one, and could take days to be processed. Keep trying, and smack your husband on the head!

Check the lost and found and file a report since that is a high priced item.

I never take my camera off my shoulder I have a high end Sony Alpha and I am forgetful so I generally keep it attached to me. LOL

I am sorry you are missing your camera and I will tell you if some one did take it they will get bit by the karma bug.

maybe JUST maybe they are TRYING to find YOU, perhaps they dropped it off at front desk? Did it happen to go BACK to MK lost and Found? Did it go to a Bus Driver, their lost and found?? SO many places/people to check.
I really hope you get it back especially for the pictures, never mind the camera :grouphug:
Meanwhile, pick up one of those disposable types to take more pix for rest of trip.
Don't Give Up, Keep ASKING and maybe you'll get a GOOD person who has/will return it.
Goodness, I REALLY hope they DO!! :wizard: Pixie Dust for you!
Meanwhile, I read somewhere on these boards that people actually take a picture of their room number or something to show where they are JUST in case it gets lost??
Honestly, I have one of those really small credit card size, that I keep very close by, worth the extra cost and always close by.
BEST of LUCK!!

We've been checking back everyday. :(

Don't forget that they change bus routes, so that bus probally did not run that route allday. Good Luck

That is real ashame!!! I can't believe that someone would have the guts to keep a camera they found on vacation. I hope they didn't have kids because what a bad example to set! I remember we were at Universal Studios a few years ago and went to put our stuff in a rented locker to go on the Mummy ride. When we opened it there was a really nice digital camera inside. I gave it to one of the locker attendants so I hope it made it to it's owner. I couldn't imagine keeping a camera with all of someone family pictures on it from vacation! I hope the bus driver didn't take it! I hope it turns up... Maybe the guilt will get to them:)

Don't give up hope! I left my camera on a bench in the Germany pavilion, and it eventually turned back up - before we left for home, but I did get it back! Maybe it's finding its way back to you right now!

Back in '06, we left our camera bag on one of the park to ASMo bus. We also thought it was stolen, but Disney found it and returned it to us 2 1/2 days later (along with my Driver's License, which was in the side pocket)!:goodvibes

We have had something stolen at WDW, however. Last trip (in early Sept.--very hot), someone stole my kid's mister fan out of the stroller. It wasn't even a Disney one....just a cheap one from Walmart that I had decorated myself. Nothing expensive, but my oldest was very sad and that made me more mad than anything.

Probably taken from your stroller by a little kid, attracted by the decorations, and then when the parents saw he/she had it, they probably couldn't figure out where the heck it came from, LOL! I've noticed that at WDW, the little ones think all the strollers are there for them, I've watched them just pick one to plop down into at the stroller parking areas. I'm talking 2-3 year olds, of course. I've seen them take stuff out of the seats, etc.
