Stitch's Great Escape

It's a show I guess, but you are a part of it. You are held in your chairs in a dark room, and the seats vibrate and burp in your face and it feels like 626 is running around the room.

Kids like it, if you're claustrophobic, you may not like the restraints in the seat.

You are going to get a lot of people on hear saying that SGE is destroying the park, and people who love it, there doesn't seem to be a lot of middle ground.

It's the worst attraction in all of WDW. Our whole family (3 kids, ages 11,13,15 and DH and I) all thought it was stupid.

I believe this is the old Alien Encounter ride that has simply been "rebranded" and rethemed. From your post I can see you've been to WDW in the past. If you went on Alien Encounter you have some idea of what to expect on Stitch.

It's not a show or a simulator or a ride. It's just dumb.

You go in and sit down in a circular room with a giant tube in the middle. A bar is lowered over you and it goes dark. You get spritzed with water, smell a foul smell, and then feel feathery things on your head. Then the lights come on and you leave.

Absolutely the worst attraction in the Magic Kingdom.

Stitch is sooo horrible. Avoid it like the plague.

I just have to say it again -- Stitch stinks. I don't know WHAT they were thinking.

Big ditto. I loved loved loved Alien Encounter -- so clever! Stitch is similar, except that I never for one moment believed that my head was about to be bitten off and used as dental floss, so what's the point? It's flatter than AE, somehow, and much grosser. I've been on it, to see for myself, and now I never have to go on it again, so think of the time saved.

I would not go back on this ride. :Pinkbounc

That attraction is terrible and terrifying for younger children. I have seen many children just bawling their eyes out during the "show" and afterwards.

Worst attraction at WDW.
No appeal to adults and they even miss their key 8-12 male demogaphic.
Terrible. Had to go on it twice to make sure I wasn't missing something.
I wasn't.

DH and I went on this last week. Even though we knew in advance from reading these boards, that this was the worst attraction in all of WDW, we had to find out for ourselves. Well, it truly IS horrible! And like a post above said...WHAT were they thinking?!! Not only was the experience foul, but the restraints really are restraints and it locked down hard on my shoulders. I couldn't wait to get out of there. N-E-V-E-R, ever, again.

I agree. We went on during the MNSSHP because it was raining & there was no line. The only redeeming part of the ride was that we weren't in the rain. I would never ride again. A complete waste of time.

We didn't enjoy it particularly . My 12 yr old neice had bruises on her shoulder from the restraint. If you do it,make sure you sit up tall when the restraint comes down then scoot down a bit in your seat to avoid bruising.

I have to agree with everyone...STUPID ATTRACTION!!!! My kids DD9 and DS6 were so excited to see this attraction. They love Stitch. When we got off they even said it was a waste of time and totally dumb. Don't waste your precious time at MK for Stitch. Even with NO LINE you still waste 15 minutes.

the worst attraction ever...the imagineers should hang their collective heads in shame over this one...

bring back alien...at least that one had an amusing script....they got rid of alien because it was supposedly too scary for kids...and what do they put in its place?....a completely inane attraction without any of the wit of alien and it stills scares kids...

I agree that this ride is a waste of 15 minutes of your life. Alien Encounter was much better however it should not have been in the Magic Kingdom. It should have been in MGM Studios. We can only hope this dies a quick death soon and is replaced with a clever, fun ride.

My 16 yo DS and I loved this ride. The story could be tightened up a little but over all We enjoyed it. Oh well to each his own.
