Does anyone know what this ride is like? We've never been on it before so just wondering if it's scary? fun? not worth waiting in line for? Is there a ride that it's similar too? Thanks! :)

Worst ride ever IMHO. But I think a lot of people agree. I can't quite describe it, but even without a line I don't think it's worth the time.

We enjoy it but it is more of a interactive show than a ride. Think more Bug's Life in AK. Without giving too much away there are some dark periods and some of the interaction could scare younger childdren. We are taking my 6yo niece in June and we do plan on taking her on this one. Hope that helps.

There are some bad reviews floating around on the dis, but I personally like the attraction. The storyline is kind of boring, but the animatronic stitch is kinda neat. Its not too dark, but might still be scary for some children who don't know what they are getting into.

I've only been on the ride once a few years ago. It may be scary for little children. You sit in a chair while a scene takes place around you. Nothing much happens. My sister & I believed it was a huge waste of Disney's money. We had a fast pass for the ride. Others were waiting in a 2 hour line. As we were walking up to the ride, patrons that were leaving screamed out warning that it wasn't worth the wait & to get out of line. Heed that warning. It's fine to check out once if there is no line. Don't waste your time or a fast pass on it. HTH.

Definitely not worth waiting for. . . Even if there is no line outside you will probably end up waiting in the pre-show area to get into the theater.

It's a truly terrible attraction by Disney standards. My kids are HUGE fans of Stitch, and evey they (at 7 years old) realized how lame it was. When it was over my DS said "Is that it?"

Taking my rugged 8 year old nephew on this was a mistake I regret. I didn't realize what it was like and thought he would be fine because it was Stitch and he was more than tall enough. Wrong.

We both thought it was awful and he was scared to death. For him it was the sudden darkness and being completely trapped in your seat. Then there is this gross smell. We were not warned nor told how to get out of the seats or the pitch black theater area during the "show" if we needed to leave. Because I was also trapped in my seat, I couldn't get to him right away. For us, it was a nightmare.

I'd say that it not only depends on the ages of the people in your group, but what they like from an attraction.

No offense intended towards anyone that enjoys this type of "amusement" and I take full responsibility for what happened. I will never make a mistake like that again with any child in my care. However I do not think it is up to the normal Disney standard.

I've read (and maybe even started one ?) threads in the past about this.

We have avoided this ride for years and years. In fact the last thing i attended here was the old flight to mars or whatever it was called. However, in Jan DD(26) demanded we at least do it once. It was not nearly as bad as we were led to believe. I love the robot in the preshow. (he reminds me of the Timekeeper which i loved). My husband was not pleased with getting his camera sprinkled on, though.

It's definitely not ToyStory Mania...... but I will take it over Monster Comedy Show anytime.

I would definately agree with anyone who says it is not worth a long wait, and yes there is no reaistic way to leave during the "show"

This ride is truly a waste of time. I registered on the DIS boards forum specifically so I could post a reply to tell you that. We rode it to get out of the rain, and there was no line at the time -- and still thought it was a waste.

Having said that, if you have spare time, you might want to ride it just so you aren't left wondering after your trip "what was the ride really like???"

I think the ride is dumb, and boring, however, my 9 year old son loves it. He wants to ride it multiple times every year. There is a certain joke in it that, I guess, just appeals to 9 year old boy humor. There is rarely a line for it, so give it a try. If you hate it, well, you tried it and you aren't left wondering.

We have never been on this ride, mainly because of all of the negativity that we heard about it (plus I have no interest in it whatsoever), however DH wants to try it out this coming trip. I know my DD6 will be terrified of it because she hates the dark, plus she hated HISTA, so I think she and I will be doing something else while DD8 and DH goes and tries this out. DD8 is not a Stitch fan, by all means, but decided that she would do it with her dad to make him happy.

I have to agree with most everyone on this. It was terrible.

There is no 'ride'. There is a circle of seats that do not move except a little bouncing- very little.

It is dark and I was trapped in my seat. It started to get totally cagey and HAD to get out. It was awful. I was able to push up on my shoulder harness so I was not so pinned in. She shoulder thing was pushing me down even after I had it on comfortably- I do not like feeling trapped

I did not understand the whole story, my kids loved it when they were sneezed on.

Total waste of time and there should be warnings for people who do not like being pinned down in the dark.

Two weeks ago I took my family to WDW for their first visit.
All six of them (from age 5-69) HATED Stitch.

It was the only thing in all four parks that got a negative response.

Just echoing what others have said--this was the only "ride" that our kids insisted we skip on this year's visit. We didn't like it at all. Disney does a great job with interactive rides and tries hard to include all the senses, including touch and smell. At one point in Great Escape, Stitch "burps" and the result was a smell so heinous that I found myself fondly remembering the time our dog happened on a skunk nest.

While our kids are older and the darkness didn't scare them, being strapped in and left in the dark certainly wouldn't sit well with little ones.

I have never tried to ride due to the fact that everyone I asked about it stated what most on here have posted. I miss the old Tomorrow Land with the "Monsanto Circlevision 360" and "If you have wings".

I managed to keep my boys away until last year when they really wanted to go in. So we did-3 times...I knew to cover my nose when Stitch burped, so I was not blessed with the smell. There were screaming children who were scared out of their heads, BUT there were CM's all around with flashlights who would help families out of the theater if there was a frightened child.

My boys loved it and want to do it again. I will go in it to humor them, but don't love it. I would choose it over Alien Encounter, which was there before-THAT was scary!:scared1:
