We're pretty much agreed that Stitch is the No.1 poor attraction at WDW, but will Disney be thinking of replacing it?

They must know themselves that it isn't rated highly but will they just keep it going regardless? From their point of view it does attract queues and [for those who aren't "in the know"] sounds like an enjoyable attraction, so why get rid of it?

Does a disappointing attraction really harm WDW? It wouldn't stop any of us going, would it?

I don't reckon they'll get rid of it for a few years, Disney seem to have invested a heck of a lot in stitch, not just the ride but by the fact that he's everywhere!!! They could have doen so much more with the character - how about a pooh style ride where you join him on a trip around the universe and or you have to duck him throwing 3-d objects at you??? it would still be tame but a lot better than that attraction they've got at the mo.

I actually quite like the stitch ride, I admit that it is in no way as good as many of the other rides but I still thought that it was quite fun!

I agree Carol that would have been a much more fun ride! :wizard:

I love the Stitch ride, much more people friendly than the Alien thing that was there, I say keep it :)

I agree, at least I'll go on this without protesting, unlike It's A Small World :thumbsup2

LOL I make my family go on It's a Small World every year :rotfl2: They blame me for having to go on it but I secretly think that they quite like it!

My son absolutely loves the Stitch ride. Me, I think it could have been a lot better, however the best bit of the attraction is watching my son enjoy it so much.

My DDs love this attraction and I don't mind it :)

As Carol says they have invested a huge aount of money and effort into both this ride and the character Stitch so I can't see it going anywhere in a hurry.

I suppose as well they are trying to best use the slightly unusual building in which it is placed.

If anyone ever saw Mission to Mars in that building, then you will know that Stitch is a huge improvement on that (IMO).

It appears there will be something similar at Hong Kong Disneyland

This is from the passporter e:mail news I got

Hong Kong Disneyland has announced three new attractions set to open in Tomorrowland this summer -- Autopia, a new car ride with an old, familiar name, will feature electric vehicles instead of gas powered vehicles; Stitch Encounter will be a "theater" experience featuring everyone's favorite alien; and UFO Cool Zone helps chill sun-drenched brows with a water-squirting robot

I wonder if this stitch ride will be almost the same. It sound similar.

NO!

i was pleasantly surprised at the Stich ride!

maybe because alot of people on here have slated it - i wasn't expecting anything - i made sure that i sat the back - i didn't want to be sprayed with chill sauce!

he is cute plus i got to meet him opposite his ride - i told him that we should go to graceland to see elvis together and he made the 'wicked' sign! :rotfl2:

The ride really is a let down. :confused3 But In "person" he's fab :)

and this sounds extra cute

I'm disappointed that I never saw this attraction when it was Alien...to see that freeking monster thrashing around in the tube must have been great.
