I'm putting together our list of "must sees" for our trip in June, and wondering if seeing Stitch's Great Escape is worth the time spent in line and on the attraction. I've heard mixed reviews. I'm not a Stitch fan, but my kids may want to see it. But I think I could talk them out of it is it's a waste of time. I'd rather spend the time elsewhere. Help! :confused3

Definately NOT worth it, if you have to miss out on something else then you'll kick yourself. Only worth it if theres no queue and you've plenty of spare time.

It was a big disappointment for us. It is definitely not something worth waiting in line for. I would put it at the very bottom of the list.

I better get in here quick before all the vocal bashers take over this thread. I thought it quite good. The story is a little weak but if your kids enjoyed the movie they will definitely enjoy the show. The animatronic stitch is quite impressive technologically.

My DS (16) and I both liked it!!!

I didn't thnk it was as bad as some people say but it was not the best ride at WDW either. We enjoyed it but we wouldn't go out of our way to do it again. Our 4 year old ds loves Stitch and he enjoyed it but did din't make a fuss about doing it over and over.

I say to each his/her own. If your kids like Stitch, give it a try and see for yourself.

I was also one of those who avoided Stitch due to the overwhelming number of bad reviews. Well, DS (12) really is a huge Stitch fan and wouldn't let up on me to see it a couple of weeks ago. So, there was no line, we went in and I actually liked it! He really liked it too, being a 12 yr old boy. Was it great? no... Was it worth a 30 minute wait? probably not.... But i'm glad we saw it.

A lot of the attraction is in the dark and you don't know where Stitch is, so if your kids are really little, this may frighten them.

IMO its not worth it. But your kids may enjoy it if they like Stitch. Give it a try. :)

If you were a fan of Alien Encounter, the attraction that Stitch replaced, then Stitch is a big disappointment. The Stitch show uses remnants of Alien Encounter, which makes it all the more painful for fans of the previous attraction.

That being said, if you take the attraction on its own merits it's worth doing just to see if you like it -- especially if you or your kids are Stitch fans. I loved Alien Encounter and personally don't care for Stitch, but that's just me.

I'd say it largely depends on the ages of your kids and whether they like Stitch as the terrorizing alien as opposed to the cuddly Earth-bound alien.

We like the cuddly Earth-bound alien and DS was only 4 when we tried it (back when it was new and hardly discussed). BAD IDEA! But that was us--older kids who don't mind the dark and assorted "sensory experiences" might love it.

Just my two cents.

A must see? I would say no. A see if you have the time and the line isn't too long? I'd say sure. Personally, I didn't like it at all, but different strokes for different folks!! :goodvibes

I hate to say it because I love all things Disney, but Stitch disappoints me. I think it may have to do with it being released around the same time as a lot of other new rides and attractions.

I went to Disney in Dec 03 and didn't make it back to July 05. By this time, Soarin', CinderellaBration, Lights Motors Action and Turtle Talk with Crush were also new to me. They all blew me away and then I tried Stitch and I just didn't get it. It's supposed to be a pre-Lilo and Stitch story but it doesn't work with storyline of the movie. Secondly, the best part of the attraction to me is the second chamber with the Sargent.

The attraction itself is simply a series of sensory tricks that are cool the first time but predicatable every time after. What I mean is I can ride Big Thunder 20 times or Splash Mtn and see something new everytime. I can do Stitch (which I've done three or four times) and I already know what's going to happen before it does. It's too predicatable and built too much on having a cool AA. I don't think Stitch is gonna last too much longer without a revamp. The last couple times I've been there, including this past weekend, the lines are small and I don't think that bodes well with this being so new.

Anyways, I'd say ride it once because the first time everything will catch you by surprise. After that I think you'll want to skip it unless everythings a long wait and it has no line.

I finally rode Stitch for the first time last week. I thought it was very stupid and wont be riding it again. My 4 year old liked it though!

If the wait is less than 15 minutes, go see it. Otherwise, it's expendable on any trip to MK.

When I took my niece and nephew last April we waited an hour in line to see it. My niece and nephew wo were 14 and 16 both thought it was stupid and a waste of time waiting. I liked it and would see it again and plan too. Though I would not wait an hour to see it now that I have.

I walked straight in to the initial preshow, on the the second preshow, then to show. I spent 15 minutes total on Stitch and regret it. I kept wondering when the show would start, but before I knew it the show was over. Basically, you experience a couple of bumps and one unpleasant smell. I would recommend Carousel of Progress or the Peoplemover as time better spent in that area of Tomorrowland.

Time in the park is precious. Stitch is a waste of that time.

It's worth it to try once. Had I followed what most people on this board said, I wouldn't have tried it. But there was no line the last time and I'm glad I did, because I didn't think it was that terrible. My advice is to try it and that way you'll know for sure whether it's worth it or not in the future.

If you have kids, you need to go see it. DS7 and DD4 just loved it and wanted to do it over and over again. They still quote the "Cinderelly, your prince is here..." line at will.

If I had to wait a really long time to see it, I would probably try to wait till another time when the line is shorter, but still go see it anyway. AE was really cool, and everyone seems to compare Stitch to it, and I think that may be why a lot of people don't care for it. But I loved AE and I really thought Stitch was cute and funny. They are the same but totally different, if that makes sense.

we did it at the AP preview and stormed out. we gave it another chance months later after the story revisions and stormed out again. I'd rather try to remove my own gall bladder than waste time on SGE ever again. it's a horrible attraction.
