My soon to be 10 year old is a Stitch fan. We are planning to change his room to Stitch themed on his birthday as a surprise. He will be away on a field trip from 6am to 8pm. I ordered the stitch bedding set and a few other things. My big question is what color for the room. I am not sure how much longer he will like Stitch to be everywhere. So I'd like the room to be more neutral if possible. I am not very good with color. Is there any "neutral" color that goes with the rest of blue stuff? My sister suggested beige/
khaki. I just cannot picture the room. Any suggestions?

Many thanks for your help,

Jane

The beige/khaki color would work, maybe try for a Sand color. Maybe red accents, I think a surf board on the wall would be fun.

Did you get the Stitch hamper in the Disney catalog. It's been hard not to order it for my Stitch fan so cute. My DD just lined up all of her Stitch plush on a shelf, I never realized she had so many no particular theme to the room but does have several Stitch items.

I would go with sand/red too, or maybe sand/blue, but that could compete with the Stitch blue if you're not careful. I bet it will look so cute (or cool I guess for a 10yo) when you're done with it. My daughter is a stitch and Buzz fan too so I'm thinking about adding some of their stuff to her room when we move in the spring.

Any neutral would be fine---I was just going to add, like the poster above, that the Stitch hamper is THE cutest accessory they have. It really makes the room, and is big enough to actually be useful! Get the hamper!!

DS8 room is med blue & dark blue it started as a Buzz room & is now a Stitich room he just opened his Stitich hamper & shelf for his birthday. Plus DD picked out one of those really squishie Stitch pillows for his b-day.

Funny that you should ask. Oddly enough, we found the Starry Night shade of blue at Walmart to be the perfect shade for our Disney room, which is heavily Stitch oriented. We have off white tab top curtains and a red microsueded innerspring futon. The room looks awesome! Maggie

Thanks all for the wonderful suggestions. Sand sounds great. My sister is begging me to let her draw something on the wall. I will talk to her about the red surf board. She did a Disney babies theme for DS10 10 years ago and got lot of compliments. Time flies! I am glad I have not got the "he will outgrow it soon comment" here. Since he is the oldest in his generation, people in the family are surprised he is still into Stitch.

I did not order the hamper :guilty: I wish I posted earlier. I got the toy box(http://disneyshopping.go.com/DSSect...Product_Id=187510&Searchstr=stitch+toy&Page=1) instead. It came in today in a box. But I have to wait for a few weeks before assemble it. Has anyone seen the toy box? Would it be too much if I add the hamper? It would be harder to return since it is so heavy.

Maggie, do you have a picture of your Disney room? I'd love to see it. PM/email me if you do not want to post.

Thank a lot. You girls are great!

We got the stitch bedding for my son's room as well. We're going with a very pale blue duron paint. I'll find the color chip to let you know-we matched it to the bedding. We went with blond furniture and it's a good match.
