I know, I know, I know that this information has been posted. Forgive me for asking this question again.
Ok. What are the dates for the AP riders? I am scheduled to arrive November 11. Does it look like it will be open to all people then?

I read that soft openings will begin 10/5 with the regular opening on 11/16. On the Wdw Magic site they have that info.
I will be there on the 12th of Nov! So we are hoping to be able to go on it too!

i need to go on this ride!!!! we are there from the 4th to the 26th so hopefully we will get a chance to give it a try!!:wave2:

Soft opening on Oct 5th what exactly does that mean? I will be there from 10/15-10/23 and do not have AP's, is there a possibility that I can view the ride? What is the bestway for me to see it, ask someone when I'm there?

I saw on Allearsnet.com that the AP Holders will get a preview on November 5, 6, and 7, 2004. You need to have a vaild AP holder to get on the ride during that time period.

Jeez, I know that every time I see a 22 DAY VACATION noted I just know they are from the UK.... I am so jealous. I wish we had that kind of time off. We typically have to work somewhere for at least 10 years before getting that kind of time off.

So what happens after the AP preview dates, but before the official opening on the 16th? Anyone know? And how about COP and Timekeeper? If they're scheduled to close when Stitch opens, do you think it's safe to assume they'll be open until the 16th? I'm going 11/11-13 and would love to be able to see all 3!

I am just really hoping that our family gets the chance to experience it on this trip!!!!!! I hope it will open to the public right after that AP preview!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AP means Annual Pass.

:teeth:

What does soft opening mean on 10/05? Does that mean anyone can try to go on it?

Sneak preview opened to DVC members as well...

"That's right—everyone's favorite extraterrestrial is on the loose and running amok in the newest Magic Kingdom attraction, Stitch's Great Escape!™, scheduled to open on November 16. Help the Galactic Federation try to capture the escaped Experiment 626 during a special sneak preview offered to Members during regular Magic Kingdom hours on November 5, 6, and 7, 2004. Just show your blue Disney Vacation Club Member ID card at the attraction entrance, and let the adventure begin."

Ok - so is this "ride" going to be anything like the Extra Terror-estrial (or whatever it was called) "ride" it was before?

I didn't like the old ride...I just don't like being harnessed into something that I can't move away from...my imagination just runs a bit wild.

Do you think it'll be similar, just "tamed down" a bit since it's "Stitch" for the younger crowd? (I know some people felt the old version was tame...but I still hated it.)

We will be there Oct-22-30, so hope there is chance for us to try it too.... All year I hoped it will be opened for our vacation since it always said "Late Fall"....

I just returned from the World yesterday. We were told the Stitch ride officially opens to the public on November 16.

gottaluvdis, was COP open when you were there? It is supposed to remain open until Stitch opens. We'll be there 11/4-11/6 and would really like to see it since it is usually closed when we are there.

I think the "soft opening" that Feenie mentioned means the pre-opening for the Annual Pass Holders and DVC Members. But I think it should say 11/5 not 10/5 as posted.

I have not seen anything regarding any opening prior to the November 5, 6, 7 opening for pass holders and DVC member and the General Public opening on the 16th of November.

I am hoping the 10/5 is right, but I figured they meant 11/5 as well. Someone posted the link, however, to wdwmagic.com and it does list 10/5 as a starting date for soft openings there.

Is there still no news about height restrictions etc for this ride? My DD (4) is Lilo and Stitch MAD and would be devastated if she was too little to ride!!!!! :(

She's 42" in stocking feet, but the old AE ride was a 44" ride! We'll probably have to avoid Tomorrowland all together if it's 44" - which would be a great shame!!!!! :( :( :(

I am interested in height requirements as well. When we were there in Sept, my kids saw the activity around the Stitch ride and have both been talking about wanting to "ride" it in December when we go back. My dtr is 39 inches and will be completely heart broken if she cannot ride. I need to start preparing her now if that is the case.

So anyone who knows about the height reguirement or lack there of, please let us know.

Thanks
