Stitch leaving the Magic Kingdom - Confirmed

Don't want to hijack the thread, but has anyone heard anymore about Miles meeting in Tomorrowland? Going in 2 weeks and have been following this thread for updates. (DS is Miles obsessed)

we have stitch show up at the Disney visa meet and greet her at DCA and stitch is always so much fun for the kids. Very playful and interactive. That would be an alternative. they really need to get rid of the Stitch attraction. Gut the show building and come up with something else. On it's best day it is a one and done kind of thing/ don't know of a lot of folks who leave and say lets go again like with other attractions. As far as Miles goes he would be great in Tomorrowland on both coasts. Kids really like this show I know my granddaughter does. Would like a meet and greet with that character for her also. On the topic of autographs. To the little ones these are celebrities. My granddaughter is 2 and gets so excited to meet the characters. especially the face character that can talk with her. Out here we get characters roaming around fantasy land in the mornings, Peter,Hook,Alice, the Mad Hatter. Heck during regular park hours one morning during October even ran into Maleficent. But later in the day they go to their areas with their handlers where folks line up and patiently wait,

I would have LOVED to witness characters just walking the parks! The autographs are fun for the little ones, so I get it. But I do agree having them free roam would be SO much nicer. I am always fooled by the magic when I meet with characters. Just a big kid lol I get so caught up in the fun moment, I forget who it actually is........ :earboy2:
It's also fun to get autographs as an adult. I remember seeing around 9 or 10 character heading to the parade entrance at for Share A Dream Come True Parade in 2004. Which could have be one of the last times they were allowed to roam the parks. It's still common in Disneyland and even Tokyo Disney Resort.

I just told my DD10 that Stitch is out and Miles is in, and she was ready to destroy someone. "Who cares about Miles?" was her comment (or something similar to that.

I expect her to write a letter to Disney to express her dissatisfaction with this choice.

it happens occasionally at disneyland still. we didn't even know cruella had snuck into the pic till we got home. we'd seen her walking about, messing with people tho. the photographer had said something about a suprise, but we thought he'd meant the shopped in "magic" they do. http://imgur.com/Ck1LPq3

Miles is not in, Rafiki replaced Stitch. Miles is not expected to do M&Gs anywhere on property.
For her, I think that is only marginally better. Of course you have to understand, she LOVES Stitch. She has "Stitch" Pictures, statues, pens, pins, posters, shirts, plushies, etc...

She is (or at least was) very shy of most people. Even many of the animated characters. We finally got her to take pictures without too much of a fuss with Santa.

With Stitch, it wasn't even an issue. We had Breakfast at Ohana in 2014 (she had just turned 9) and there was no question she wanted a picture with Stitch.

Notice the Stich Pen on the table and the Stitch Plushie.

She LOVED this encounter.

Haven't you all heard? Stitch moved back to Hawaii and lives at Aulani.

I'm probably in the minority when it comes to WDW fans (I consider myself one), but I couldn't care less about Stitch. Does he have fans? Really?? I assume this is why he's going away: he doesn't have many fans. I enjoy seeing any of the Fab 5 around the Park, and a few of the princesses, maybe a few others...

I'll double down: I don't get the "autograph" thing. I used to love seeing the characters walk around the park like they were home. Of course, you can't see that anymore because of all the stinkin' autograph hounds - clamoring for an autograph from an anonymous college kid in a costume. I. Don't. Get. It.

Well I don't think his ATTRACTION is great. But I love the character and so does most of my family.

That's kind of my sentiment too. The attraction was nice the first time (especially when you don't know what's going to happen) but after that.... It's just "Okay", and even a little boring (especially the first 2 stages).

I love stitch and so does my DD10 (soon to be 11). The attraction, however, if it disappeared (or maybe reworked) I wouldn't be upset.

It is not even a ride...it is a sitting! So so lame!

Well, there is some motion. I'd call it more of an "Attraction" then a ride.
It was cool the FIRST time, but it loses it's appeal rather quickly after that.

I'm not sure that's a distinction that makes sense. Stitch's problem is simply that it's a migraine inducing sensory assault, with no redeeming payoff.

It's Tough To Be A Bug by contrast is great fun.

My kids, 15 and 16 will be super bummed about stitch. They have grown up with him. We were at WDW back in Nov and came home with tons of stitch merchandise. Good thing.

I remember a time when DW and were at MK at rope drop, and we raced to get in line for Space Mountain. While we were waiting for the queue to open up, and were in line outside, people started getting restless (10 minute waits, I guess, can start to make a finely tuned touring plan guest antsy). Out of the CM entrance near where the face paint is appeared Stitch, who fluttered in meekly, and proceeded to wave in the cutest way imaginable. Kids ran over there to get their photo made, and people instantly forgot about the tiny backup in queue.

On of my favorite characters, and perfect for Tomorrowland. Pity - especially for a land (IMHO) lacking in quality substance as compared to others in the MK.
