Well stitch had a TV show as well as the fab five. Winnie the Pooh had a TV show but of course all those characters had movies as well. Did Chip and Dale have their own movie? They definitely had a TV show in rescue Rangers. It seems Miles we be an obvious choice for Tomorrowland, but his fans are a very specific demographic. Personally I think Baymax would be an excellent fit, and Stitch should stay.
And random thought... Miles is from a TV show not a movie. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems characters at the MK are from movies and not TV shows. I'm not sure if that is intentional or not. The ones from shows are over at Hollywood Studios. Are there any other TV characters at MK I'm missing here???
Tried scanning thru posts is there a confirmed date?
My DD asked to see Stitch the next trip 'after' I cancelled our Ohana breakfast![]()
I have kids and have NO CLUE who Miles is. Neither do they.
Stitch is a favorite in our family, too. Sad to see him going. We'd love Baymax in addition to Stitch!!
I don't go and get them anymore however I loved it when I did, it's just a classic Disney memory and if you were a WDW fan you'd know that it's friends of the characters not anonymous college students.. Let's not kill the magicI'm probably in the minority when it comes to WDW fans (I consider myself one), but I couldn't care less about Stitch. Does he have fans? Really?? I assume this is why he's going away: he doesn't have many fans. I enjoy seeing any of the Fab 5 around the Park, and a few of the princesses, maybe a few others...
I'll double down: I don't get the "autograph" thing. I used to love seeing the characters walk around the park like they were home. Of course, you can't see that anymore because of all the stinkin' autograph hounds - clamoring for an autograph from an anonymous college kid in a costume. I. Don't. Get. It.
I don't. We used to enjoy getting our picture made with characters, but the autographs made the lines take 2x or 3x longer, so it didn't make sense anymore. I'll bet that autograph hounds are why you don't see them just walking the park anymore.
I suppose it was a little harsh, but I meant it as real. Here's the same sentiment with a better explanation: I am always amazed at the lack of consideration for others displayed by some people in public places. You see it in a million ways at WDW (wheelchairs for healthy people being the worst offense), and one of the ways that has changed how i enjoy the Parks is the (relatively) new way that people collect autographs and photo after photo from costumed characters, all while a huge line waits. I don't get in those lines any more because of these people.
...and someone said that kids think they're getting an autograph from a celebrity?? REALLY?? My kids have never thought this. (...and yes, we do Santa Claus, yes, we have fun in life...)![]()
I don't blame them. For $200 they better get every picture available.

Well you can get it for $170 if you buy it in advance but that's still ridiculous.$200? <GAG!> Is that what they're charging for Memory Maker now? I bring my own camera so I don't know.
