Stitch leaving the Magic Kingdom - Confirmed

Heck, I am an old kid and I love Baymax and Stitch as much as my granddaughters do! Let's hope they let them both roam the parks just to delight young and old.

NOOOOOOOO I LOVE STITCH!!!!!

(Although when I first saw this post I thought it meant Stitch's Great Escape was leaving MK, which I'd be totally fine with.)

Tried scanning thru posts is there a confirmed date?
My DD asked to see Stitch the next trip 'after' I cancelled our Ohana breakfast :(

It seems Miles we be an obvious choice for Tomorrowland, but his fans are a very specific demographic. Personally I think Baymax would be an excellent fit, and Stitch should stay.

And random thought... Miles is from a TV show not a movie. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems characters at the MK are from movies and not TV shows. I'm not sure if that is intentional or not. The ones from shows are over at Hollywood Studios. Are there any other TV characters at MK I'm missing here???

Well stitch had a TV show as well as the fab five. Winnie the Pooh had a TV show but of course all those characters had movies as well. Did Chip and Dale have their own movie? They definitely had a TV show in rescue Rangers.

I think Miles will be a pretty big hit....I know that he is a hit with my 9yo DS and 5yo DD - and neither really care for Stitch...they take a picture with Stitch just so they can relate it his magic shot. I would also love to see Baymax in tomorrowland...that would be a good place for him! Do they have a working costume for him yet?

I have kids and have NO CLUE who Miles is. Neither do they.

Stitch is a favorite in our family, too. Sad to see him going. We'd love Baymax in addition to Stitch!!

Getting rid of stitch is an awful choice I love the blue dude :) his ride is a must for my whole family we love stitch!
I'm probably in the minority when it comes to WDW fans (I consider myself one), but I couldn't care less about Stitch. Does he have fans? Really?? I assume this is why he's going away: he doesn't have many fans. I enjoy seeing any of the Fab 5 around the Park, and a few of the princesses, maybe a few others...

I'll double down: I don't get the "autograph" thing. I used to love seeing the characters walk around the park like they were home. Of course, you can't see that anymore because of all the stinkin' autograph hounds - clamoring for an autograph from an anonymous college kid in a costume. I. Don't. Get. It.
I don't go and get them anymore however I loved it when I did, it's just a classic Disney memory and if you were a WDW fan you'd know that it's friends of the characters not anonymous college students.. Let's not kill the magic

Regardless sucks that they are pulling stitch the fab 5 are awesome but they have thier places, I personally love the more interesting characters such as Alice and Peter, stitch, villains and princesses. Oh and tinker bell! It just Disney Magic :)

I am personally gutted about losing stitch, whilst apparently its one character out - one character in and now we will be able to meet Rafiki over in adventure land - thus him being moved from Animal Kingdom to make room for Flik to come back, i'd still much rather have our loveable alien friend <3

I was so hoping this would be the ride. Stitch is actually one of my least favorite characters. As someone with kids in the 4-7 age range, they would LOVE Baymax and Miles. Neither know who Stitch is. I've tried to have them watch the movie but they don't care for it.

I don't. We used to enjoy getting our picture made with characters, but the autographs made the lines take 2x or 3x longer, so it didn't make sense anymore. I'll bet that autograph hounds are why you don't see them just walking the park anymore.

More like the characters may get mobbed. If there was a real problem with autograph "hounds" there would be constraints placed on the number of photos or autographs per group. While I do not doubt the lines annoy you, I do not believe that they are the issue some would have us believe.

I suppose it was a little harsh, but I meant it as real. Here's the same sentiment with a better explanation: I am always amazed at the lack of consideration for others displayed by some people in public places. You see it in a million ways at WDW (wheelchairs for healthy people being the worst offense), and one of the ways that has changed how i enjoy the Parks is the (relatively) new way that people collect autographs and photo after photo from costumed characters, all while a huge line waits. I don't get in those lines any more because of these people.

...and someone said that kids think they're getting an autograph from a celebrity?? REALLY?? My kids have never thought this. (...and yes, we do Santa Claus, yes, we have fun in life...) :duck:

I take exception to your characterization of who lacks consideration. Neither you nor I know what affliction a wheelchair bound person may have, but I do know that I have pushed one of those things and given a choice, no one in my family would use one. Now Disney is charging big bucks for memory maker, and in doing so, encourages people to use that service. One of the ways is in a character M&G. I have no issues waiting for the group in front of me to finish their session with teh character and then I take my turn with my family. On our last trip my DH and I gifted our family and the family on our street with a trip, and this was the little Princesses first trip. There was no way I was rushing those two little girls by refusing to let them each have their book signed and their own picture taken. And when it came time to meet Tink...well I took a turn to meet her too. I am not rude or selfish, but I see no problem if we enjoy the characters. For the time we are in lines for them, we are not taking up space at teh other attractions.

One more thing I cannot understand...why do we all need to run the same way? My granddaughter was positive the characters were her friends, and was thrilled beyond belief to meet them all. Her delight in them alone was enough to spur DH and I to make sure she visited her friends at least twice a year when she was little. Now we are trying to make sure out little Princess on our street get the same treat. The older one wondered before we arrived if they were "real" but she, like me, decided they were real when we were in Disney. For her, they were celebrities, and I was thrilled, They are little for such a short time that I see nothing wrong in fostering that delight. No one else needs to "get it". It is enough that we do.

I don't blame them. For $200 they better get every picture available.

You said it!

Well you can get it for $170 if you buy it in advance but that's still ridiculous.

We purchased it for our last trip and for us, it was worth it. My DD is still customizing the pictures, and honestly if it had not been so stinkin hot and we had not had all the huge thunder storms that took place we would have utilized it even more. I would not spend the money every trip though. I ordered it as I booked our package so for us, the cost was buried inside the entire package price. It made me feel better that way! LOL!

There is more than enough room for everyone!

Let's not miss the point here...

Stiiiiiiitch!
