Thanks for sharing your reviews! As a mom of three teenage boys i can totally relate to what you are experiencing with your son. We are thinking of letting the three of them have a bit more freedom in the parks this year while DH and i enjoy some of our favourites.

Day 3 – Part Two

After riding Everest and Kali River Rapids, we headed over to Yak and Yeti for our lunch ADR.



We always eat here on our Animal Kingdom Park days. We have never had a bad meal here.

For an appetizer we had

Wok-Fried Green Beans- battered green beans, sweet Thai chili dipping sauce $8.99

We love these. As a matter of fact, I had to take this photo fast they were disappearing too quickly. The sauce makes it even better. Sweet and savory with a tiny bit of heat. So tasty!!

For our entrees ….

DS got the chicken lo mein.

Lo Mein- Lo Mein noodles, carrots, cabbage, green onions, bean sprouts; Chicken $18.99; Shrimp $19.99; Combo $19.99

It was a ton of food, but DS but a sizable dent in it.

Seared Miso Salmon- miso glazed Atlantic salmon, coconut-ginger rice, baby bok choy and shiitake mushroom stir-fry $24.99

I have gotten this entrée more than once and it never disappoints. I love salmon and the was cooked well, not too dry and not too raw. It was amazing.

DD got the adult size chicken tenders.

What can I even say about this? She has the taste buds of a five year old. We can’t get her to branch out.

This was very good as well. Same sauce as the one served with the green beans. YUM!!

Except she got it plain. She enjoyed it.

DH and I had the best dessert ever. The holiest of holies.

I loved the lemon.

While we were ordering, we discovered that our dining credits had not been added to our account yet even though we had checked in to AOA prior to entering the park. Our server was kind enough to call the resort and get it straightened out for us and we appreciated that. I’m sure people switch resorts all of the time and I am also sure that they have the dining plan at both locations often. So I was really confused as to why this was a problem.

To add insult to injury, we got a text that there was a problem with our room and stop by the front desk when we returned to the resort. Great. Just great. Since we had already checked in, we were like WTH?[/url][/url][/url][/url][/url][/url]

Yum, we love Yak and Yeti too! We have been there twice. Never tried the green beans or the won tons but I have been wanting to try both. I had the shrimp tempura last time and I liked it. That salmon dish looks soooo good though!! Really nice of them to call the resort for you.

DD and I headed into Landscape or Flavors and got some gelato. DD got chocolate with these little chocolate pearl type candies.

It is sad that he no longer likes Disney. I think he would like it better if some of his friends came along and they could do their own thing, but I don't want to be in charge of other people's teenagers, so I will wait a few years for him to come around. DD still loves it though and that id good enough for me. Yes, she is 3 inches taller than me. They grow up so fast!!

Dinner at Landscape of Flavors

DH, DD and I headed up to Landscape of Flavors for dinner. DS decided to stay in the room and be anti-social some more.



I got the make your own salad. Greens, chicken, pistacios, cranraisins, croutons – very fresh and yummy.

I really love the Landscape of Flavors. They are so many options. It is my favorite QS place of all of the resorts we have stayed at.

This was our sort of sleep in day. We got up around 9AM. I went to the food court to get breakfast and coffee.

I got a chocolate croissant for DD. She didn’t want it so I had to eat it. Life is so hard sometimes - LOL
