Just a quick review. This was the worst dining experience I ever had in wdw. When we were seated our server came to the table, did not introduce herself or even look at me. She went to pour us orange juice to which I said no thank you we would prefer other drinks. She poured anyways like I didn't even speak. I had to loudly say excuse me and ask her for chocolate milk for the kids and a diet coke for myself. She said oh fine...I asked her to take away the orange juice. She ignored me (ds is autistic and it was bothering him for it to be there). After about 15 mins she brought us a basket with what looked like pineapple cake and two plain biscuits. I asked her to please bring more of the just plain biscuits and asked for a new plate (as mine was extremely dirty).

SHortly after she brought the wok of food...still no drinks and I very politely asked again for them and my plate (again she ignored me). After approx. 15 mins she brought the choc. milk. Still no plate or Diet coke. Finally after being seated for an hour and the kids having already eaten I flagged down another server and asked to see a manager (my server had not been to our table in all of this time). After 15 minutes still no plate, no server, no diet coke and no manager. Finally I saw what looked to be a manager across the room and went to her...she said oh yes I am sorry I was busy and just coming to see you. Explained my issues, she said she would get me a clean plate, my drink and a fresh plate of food. After this my server comes to me and asks if there is a problem! BTW never did get the extra biscuits!

All in all we were there almost 2 hrs...the food was not great at all and the service worse. The character interaction was amazing.

I was shocked when I received my bill and was not offered even a 10% discount for the terrible service. I have never before experienced a negative dining experience such as this at wdw and have never had to call a manager for any reason.

We then left for a great day at the MK....while this experience was frustrating it really had little impact on the quality of our day or vacation. We all LOVED meeting Lilo and Stitch.

So sorry for your experience, it must be Luis the server we had at Coral Reef in Drag!
Thank GOd for the charachter interaction! WE went to Cpae May and after reading reviews of character breakfast it is pretty clear it is not a dining experience. It is a character experience.

My 10 year old was awww struck by the characters rarely is he speechless! So Next time it will be Ohana's as his fav is Stitch but I will watch for the nameless server!

WOW that is just so shocking to hear! And at Ohana, too. Wow. What a terrible waitress. She was probably having a terrible day or something happened to her because Cast Members are just not like that! Wow. I would be so mad. But at least you had fun with Lilo & Stitch!! :wizard:

OMG's that is awful. :sad2:
I have this planned for us when we go here in a few weeks , I sure hope we have a better server. They have a very tough job, no doubt! But, if you can't do it, don't like it, I have always thought you should do something else. When people pay that much for breakfast, lunch or dinner, it sure helps when your server is able to stay on top of it. It may not take a degree to be a server, but it does take someone special to do the job. :teeth:

On the other hand too. When we went to Norway breakfast last summer. The sections are seated at the same time, and there was only 1 server for 8 tables. That poor server was overloaded, management shouldn't do that either. Thats a case where there is no way he could handle all of them with out leaving someone waiting.

Sorry to hear you had such a bad time. This meal is the BEST one we have ever had and we have been to 1000s at WDW! LOL! It is a must do for us. We have it booked 3 times for the next two trips. Lucky for us we have always had great service here. Hopefully if you go again it will be much better!

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. Actually we were there over easter and our female server was really slow and disappeared alot. I was getting a little frustrated when she bought more waffles, disappeared for who knows how long, comes back and says is everything o.k. I said, well we did ask for more butter and syrup for the waffles. I was glad to get out of there too. No less we all had upset tummys based on the amount of eggs we ate. The less eggs the less upsetness. I only did this for the one ds and I dont think we will be back.

We have always had great service there. They must be having server problems. I will not go there until I read better posts. That would set my husband off for the day, Disney or not!

Wow, I am so sorry you had such a bad experience. Ohanas is close to the top of our list (after 1900 Park Fare). DD and I went for my birthday breakfast. We are going back on June 3rd for the birthday party of a friend of DD, and we are really looking forward to it!

Sound like you had and Awful waitress! I would have talked to a manager too. hope the service gets better before september because we have ADR's there.

I think you definitely had an off day there. Wow! What a rotten experience. I am sorry that the waitress was such a peach!

Include me in not liking the ‘Ohana breakfast. We tried it after years of having dinner there and it was horrible service and just ok food. In fact it is the only breakfast that I have had at WDW that sticks out in my mind as not ever doing again. I might change my mind now that I have a son and we stay at the Polynesian but other than getting the character interaction I would pass on it. We not only had poor service but the few times we got someone’s attention I even had them spill coffee on me and the digital camera with out even saying they were sorry or cleaning it up. She just looked at me and said oops and walked away.

I will take Kona breakfast over it anyday.

We just got back from the Polynesian, did the Ohana Breakfast our first day. I had a dirty cup(the waiter noticed before he poured juice and got me a new one). Eggs were horribly undercooked and gooey, I finally asked for some that were cooked a little harder and they brought them to me no problem. Did not like the sausage and a lot of the bacon was also undercooked. Character interaction was good, my kids really enjoyed it. Food was sub par, we did the Princess Storybook Breakfast the next day, food was 100% better.

We were there at the end of spring break for us (it was actually Good Friday) and it was our first time. We really enjoyed it. We were originally scheduled for a very late time, but when we arrived to head to MK, we asked and they accomodated us early. Not crowded, kids had fun, good character interaction and so relaxed as we didn't have to go to a buffet. Certainly the eggs are done in batches and a bit loose (I like mine done well) but they were good and the waffles and accompaniments were very good.

Much less hectic than CM and way better interaction than Cape May when we went there last June (half the characters never made it to our table and we were there over an hour). I don't usually do breakfast anymore, but dh said that if we wanted to do one, this would be the one to pick.

Sorry you had such a bad server. Often, an entire meal can be ruined by a bad server (and I had been a server in a previous life). Since dh and I have worked in food service (he as a bartender) we can usually figure out when it's the kitchen, the crowd or the server. And if it's the server, is it because they are learning (like the one we had at WCC in April) or just plain bad? The trainee at WCC kept apologizing and the supervising server came over several times to straighten things out. We even got an extra dessert out of it (not that we needed it!). But we were pleasant and polite and I think they both appreciated our attitude while she was learning.

Again, I'm sorry that your experience was less than magical, especially when travelling with a child with special needs.

Wow! How sad to think it took that long & even then things weren't quite right! I'm very surprised as this is our favorite breakfast... our first stop on every trip. We know the food is not something to rave about but it's always been good, served hot and lots of it. On our last trip our server even went over to Kona in search of chocolate soy milk for my son! He just told her he couldn't have milk and she offered!

I know it's not fun to have these kind of experiences but I think we all could probably be a bit more firm with the manager and ask what they will do to make up for our dissatisfaction. After all we are paying a premium price! From my past in food service I know they are expected to comp a certain amount... my DH used to get called on the carpet if he hadn't given away enough. I get so sad when I read about situations like this at Disney... they are supposed to be famous for the customer service -- maybe we need to hold them to it more often.
