:( Of course she can't win, the company has a right to tell someone if they are offending others.

She came in this morning, and in front of everyone she thanked me for telling her someone went to the boss and complained about an odor she has, and that she was seeing a lawyer and suing the company if they didn't fire the person who slandered her! I told her to keep her voice down because it was a personal conversation, and she said she didn't care, she comes to work every day, doesn't bother anyone, and they talk about her to the boss???? She says they were wrong, she doesn't have a problem, the troublemaker does, and she was going to see that person loses their job or the whole company will be sued!

She doesn't realize many co workers have complained abiout her,( I thought it best to just say someone reported her poor hygeine, and not that many have complained) and when i tried to calm her down, she shrugged me off and stormed out of the building saying the boss will hear from her lawyer:( I told my boss I am out of this mess, he can deal with it now!!!!!

WOW!! I hope you don't get dragged into a sticky situation.

You did what you could do to help.

That lady has problems and she's making them bigger.

Yeah, write down everything you remember. From what your boss said to you, to your conversations with her. I hope it doesn't get that far though.

 That stinks!!: :p ;) (sorry) ((((hugs)))) I hope you're not involved anymore

Oh dear....:(

Well the boss has to deal with it now.

I wouldn't worry about it. No attorney would take this case. Especially if she went in there smelling up the place :)

Isn't "truth" the defense to slander? If she truthfully smells bad, no problem! You are all set!

I hope they cover this trial on CourtTV!! LOL

I don't know about this -- I think there's a lawyer out there for every possible case, no matter how ludicrous.

OK...I just HAD to laugh! That was funny...:D

Slander wouldn't work if she honestly does stink. However, she could probably get away with sueing for emotional distress.

So does she still stink???

Could you NOT see this coming?  Now, YOU will be dragged into this, and guess what....SHE MIGHT WIN!!! Next time, I would tell the boss to do HIS JOB!!

If a suit is filed, I'd probably call Bill O'Reilly with the story.

"Well Bill, she killed a few of the office plants. And even the lady that wears too much perfume would hold her nose around her." :teeth:

I would keep a journal of everything you say to her & what she says to you from the start to the present, starting right now & I'd make it as close to verbatim as you can remember.

Aren't you glad we don't have smellovision yet? :teeth:

Now I've heard everything.

I can see the whole floor where she works being called in to testify that, yes, she does, in fact, reek. :p

There's no slander, there's no "one" person that complained, the only job that's going to be lost if she doesn't knock it off and take a freaking bath is hers.

I would hate to think I was so stupid I'd take people to court and have them testify in public that I'm a filthy, gross, smelly, rank, distraction in my workplace. Best of luck to her. Geezzz....

What are the chances that she wants to bring suit against the company which will be a nationwide story about how she stanks up the place at work? I believe she'd also have to prove how people talking about her hygiene has compromised her at work or how she has suffered some damage. All you need is a couple of people to say she had the funk a brewin' and that will be a tough case for her to win.

LOL, I am cracking up here! I am not concerned, its a well known fact she stinks, and EVERYONE knows it. I cannot believe she would go before a judge and tell him about this! I would be to embarressed to tell ANYONE!

Oh good grief! I'm sorry she didn't take your advice to heart, Disney Dee. I agree with the other posters--I would write down exactly what you said to her while it's still fresh in your mind in case it does make it to court.
