Stinkeye!!! Stinkyeye!!! Stinkeye!!! Stinkeye!!! Stinkeye!!! Stink Eye ! ! !!

So do you guys think my DH needs a cornhole set for his birthday? I could bring cornhole to Washington!

So do you guys think my DH needs a cornhole set for his birthday? I could bring cornhole to Washington!

Heck yes! Then your husband should learn how to make them and sell them there!

Who can sell me a Washington Huskies cornhole set? How much is it?

When is your husband's b-day? My DH just sold his last set he had made up and he probably will not start making them again until the Fall after our trip. He sells them for $150 for the set w/ bags. He hand paints the logos. The only thing that stinks is shipping would probably be around $30, I'm guessing.........

Do you have craigslist out there? You should check to see if someone local makes them so you don't have to pay as much for freight, etc......

Although, let me know when/if you find someone b/c you want to make sure you get a good set. I bought my first set on ebay when I was new to the whole bags (cornhole) thing and got ripped off. The set stunk. It was too short and the legs collapsed.

That would be a great gift! I'm pretty sure I mentioned it before, but DH gave sets to his groomsmen. They all loved it!!!!! My girls were jealous so I ended up giving a couple of them sets for their 30th b-day.

I wouldn't mind paying for the shipping because I think your sets look really nice and he loves the Huskies so much he would love to have that painted on it. But his B-day is September 11 so it might be too soon for your trip.

Yeah, sorry........ If DH had a set complete waiting to be painted, he could possibly get it done, but he doesn't have any sets ready. He likes to make 10 sets at a time as far as putting them together, sanding, staining, etc. Then he just paints the logos as requests come in.

He won't be making new sets until the Fall. So, if you don't get one by then, let me know. Maybe for your anniversary, X-mas, or next Father's Day instead?????

She wants WARD & SUN to beat each other's price! A price war!!! popcorn::

I'd love to have a price war, but I don't think DH would appreciate it right now. He's got WAYYYYYY to much going on and he hasn't made any sets yet.

I don't think I told you guys but DFIL's wife died at the end of June. At the same time that his wife died, he received a big chunk of money from his step-mother's estate (that was DH's Grandma that lived with us last December). For the first time in 17 years he was able to go do whatever he wants without having his wife verbally abuse him. (that's a whole other story). Anyway, he took the money and went out and bought a Motorcycle. :scared1: Keep in mind that DFIL is 73 years old and has never ridden a street cycle in his life. :sad2: Well anyway, he asked if he could keep the motorcycle at our house AFTER he bought it because he lives in a condo without a garage. Of course DH said yes, especially since he can ride it anytime he wants. Well, DH went to the local Jr. High parking lot to try to teach DFIL to ride. DFIL ended up dumping the bike. :sad2: He only ended up with a scratch on his elbow but he put 2 big scrapes on the bike. HE was afraid of the bike for a while and wouldn't get back on. Well 2 weeks ago he went out and bought ANOTHER bike. :headache: :sad2: It's a little bit smaller so he thought it'd be better for him. DFIL is a little guy, about 5'5" 120lbs soaking wet. Well of course he wants to store THAT bike here too now. :faint: We only have a 1 car garage and DH is using that as his workshop, so now DH needs to build a shed out behind our garage to store the bikes. (there isn't a smilie angry enough to post for that one).

SO my point was, DH is going to be busy building the Shed over the next couple of weeks, in addition to making more urns.

Ward can have it. I'm too tired to haggle!

OT - Can I tell you how annoyed I am at my SIL!!!!! She watches DD for us and we pay her to watch her. So, we ask her to keep DD overnight last night b/c we were going to be getting home late from the game. DD comes home tonight in tears. Apparently, she was just overtired b/c the kids slept in the basement and were up late, yada, yada........... I don't care about that, but I do care about the fact that she has 5 mosquito bites on her forehead!!!!! They were outside last night and had a fire. Did they use bug spray??? No! How hard is it to put bugspray on. I feel so bad for her b/c she's got huge mosquito bites on her forehead. Her first day of Kindergarten is Friday. They better be gone by then, which I'm sure they will not be!!!!! Let me also mention that I had to throw her in the shower immediately b/c she stunk. They were outside playing all day and I'm sure she didn't get a shower last night at their house. OK, vent over.

Wow, your SIL sounds just like my MIL. :lmao:

Oh my goodness! I'd be telling DFIL to use that money and buy a big old shed instead of DH building a shed!!!!

Xena - looks like you are SOL from our DH's by Sept 11. If you can wait until after, my DH would definitely do it on his next round of board building.

Here's another good one. Her boys got 2nd degree burns on their back from the sun. They told her they put on sunscreen, but didn't. Um, I wouldn't rely on my 8 and 10 yr olds to lather up on sunscreen. I ran out and bought DD one of those shirts b/c I knew she'd be getting burnt everyday!!!!

One good thing is DFIL is paying to have the slab pored and for the materials too. Too bad he just didn't pitch in for a new 3 car garage.

Oh yeah, I'll see that story and raise you:

In Feb 2003 we went to Orlando with MIL&FIL. MIL decided to take DD3 to Seaworld for the day so DH and I could go to MGM alone. She thought it was so cute how DD was playing on the splash pad, she'd stand over the water hole and the water would come up and hit her in the face HARD. She let her do that for over an hour! :headache: She even took video because she thought it was so 'cute'. Well, DD3 ended up getting a horrible ear infection and we had to rush her to the hospital because she was convulsing from the fever. When everything was over MIL isisted DD got sick from the mold in the condo we were renting. WTH!!!:headache:   I'm STILL ticked about that one.:sad2:

I've told DH several times that I'm surprised he made it to adulthood.

Your turn. :cool2:

Ok, I got one. When DS was about 9 mo. old we went for a weekend to visit the in-laws (his parents). DS was cruising furniture at the time. Well......SIL and BIL (who live in the same town as his parents and are the golden children - mind you I could care less, just relevant to the story) came over with their dog. A ****zu (sp?) who is horrible. It bites everyone except SIL, BIL and DH's parents - who "babysit" the dog. Well, DH and I had had a discussion prior to going up there about the dog.
I made it clear that there was no way I was going to let the dog bite DS, and we would just ask them to put the dog in another room, or gate the family room off.
We never got the chance. When we arrived, we were promptly told that we needed to stay in the LIVING room away from the dog. :headache:
So, the dog got the run of the house and we were stuck in a room the whole weekend with no tv, while everyone else - their whole family - was in the family room enjoying each others company. DS walked for the first time that weekend - did his parents care? - nope, too busy with the dog.

Seriously, the whole weekend. I can't tell you how that makes me feel. Knowing that his parents love a **** dog more than their own grandchild. BTW, there are countless other stories along the same lines to back up my hypothesis.

And DH wonders why I have an issue with his parents

You guys are cracking me up with your cornhole bidding war.

BOOOOO to bug bites on the forehead!!!

We left our car at SIL's house when we went on our trip out west. She apparently decided that that meant it was a free rental car for her for 2 weeks. When we came back there were crayons melted in the front cupholder and a brown soda exploded ALL over the back of the car. It's on the roof upholstry and everything. Grrrrrrrr. She mentioned the crayons to us but made NO mention of the huge soda catastrophe.

Boy Breezy, I think I would have packed up and left.
I like dogs, but people should certainly take presidence over animals. :sad2:

Oh, and it's Shih Tzu. (It won't get edited that way either) I used to have one or as my DH called it "the kickin dog"

No he never kicked it, he just called it that to annoy me. :rotfl:

OMG Angel! Don't you love when you can *cough* trust *cough* family with your stuff while your away?

Uggghhh Breezy, that is UNACCEPTABLE! And from family?!?!? How rude!!!

Seriously. We only left her the keys in case she needed to move it or something but instead she droves it around for 2 weeks and messed it all up inside. She's the kind of person thought that holds grudges and is basically kind of the family bully, and I'm very new to the family so I coulodn't really say anything without causing a bunch of waves and I just didn't feel like dealing with that even thought I was

DH and I would have left, but his other brother and SIL were up for their once a year visit from Georgia. We love them, so we stayed. In retrospect, we never really got to see them, because they were out in the family room with the rest of them. At least they came in to check on us every once in a while though.

DH and I agreed that if we're ever in that situation again - it's see ya! we're leaving.

:rotfl: and thanks for the dog spelling - I was racking my brain trying to figure out how it was spelled. Thank goodness for the censors.
