So VA will be flying San Francisco/Orlando later this summer & we have our flights booked for October with them. But they don't know when those flights will actually start up!! The company line is that they haven't received the new planes yet and don't know when they will.

So, in the meantime, I can cancel my flights with them and they'll refund my money (who knows how long it'll take to get that credited back!) It still means that I have to find other flights. I was so looking forward to non-stops. There is an American flight going that would work, but coming home doesn't.

We took a red-eye there last December - never again! I hate flying and I hate changing planes.

And yes, I complained about this a month ago. Now I just have to decide when to cancel and start over.....

VA did this on the BOS to SFO route expansion in Feb. 2009. They sold me the tickets and then didn't start the service until a week after the date they sold me when they announced the route. The issue on date of first service was caused by route certification, not VA directly in this case. I cancelled, switched to JB, and got a future flight credit voucher for $100 from them for my inconvenience.

The start-up of service between Orlando and San Francisco has been delayed indefinitely. Virgin America isn't selling tickets on any date and has cancelled all flights. Your tickets should have been cancelled by now.
