My husband had this weird cold and it took him just about 4 wks to get over it. I've never seen anything like it. There was no fever and no real pain like a sinus infection. It finally seems to be gone. But his nose continues to bleed from all the blowing.
My coworkers have all come down with some weird thing that has a lot of sneezing and coughing and they feel AWFUL for a few days. No real fever. Another co-worker did get a 5-day thing with a 102.5 fever. He seems to have recovered quickly though.
I haven't heard of anyone but one person (a child) getting influenza. She started out rapidly with a 102 temperature and a cough. The quickly got to the ped, had her tested, and she was given Tamiflu.
