Still Sassy after all this time!

2nd snow of the year, but we got a lot! (for the south, that is). About 7-8 inches. And we were all sick for the 1st snow, so the boys & I have had fun playing outside today! Well, they played. I shoveled. And shoveled. And shoveled! Ask Bonnie-- I have A LOT of sidewalk to clear in order to get from parking lot to my house!

Speaking of the Bonnster... Feel better hag!!! I hope you were able to dig out & go to the Dr. I've never had strep, and it sounds like I'm not missing much. Oh, and Moe's is down Prince William Pkwy, toward Manassas. Turn left on Hoadly Rd, and make a right into the shopping center (where Harris Teeter is).

Yes Wilma, most restaurants would take it badly if you urinated on yourself in their dining room. Moe's may be different. They'd most likely shout "Hey Pee Pee lady! Here's some napkins! And again, WELCOME TO MOE's!!!"

Take a few pics of Wally romping in the snow for us! And then give the camera to Mr. FoP so that we may actually see this dog for ourselves. I'm starting to think he may imaginary!!!

Hi Mel, Kimmy, Judi, Bex, Tricia, Angus, GP, Squid, Julie, Tink-Bone, and Jeni!

Aww...thanks for the well-wishes, girls! I have tried for two days to go to the doctor, but no luck! Yesterday I went to the walk-in place (since my doctor is closed on the weekend) and waited for an hour before I realized i had forgotten my wallet (so no ID, no insurance card) so I had to leave with my tail between my legs. So I planned to go today and got up and called my doctor first thing. They were closed, due to inclement weather, so was the walk-in place. So I'm gonna try to go tomorrow.

I do feel much better today than yesterday, thank goodness. Oh, and btw, Brent tells me that last night I was having fever-induced hallucinations, and talking in my sleep when he came upstairs to use the computer. Apparently I had a LOT to say...:scared1:

Wilma, thanks for the advice about rheumatic fever! That would be scary! I am for sure gonna go to the doctor tomorrow!

Grumpy, I will take your suggestion about the shot o' rum into consideration.

Shannon, you really shoveled that whole walk? Didn't your neighbors assist you? I will be sure to try Moe's sometime. Sounds like a fun place!

Awww... Sounds like you're having a really rough time Bon. I hope you get in first thing tomorrow! Get lots of rest today-- I'm sure the girls are psyched for another snow day! My boys are-- except that Riley's asthma is acting up, so no more outside play for him.:sad2:

And no, my neighbors didn't come out to help until later in the afternoon, when they needed their cars & parking spaces cleaned off. That's ok though-- I cancelled my gym membership last week, so I really needed the exercise! I always do my elderly neighbor's homes, and one lady came over & gave me some pasta salad. Such a sweetie.

We might head to Kohl's for their winter clearance-- Reece has inconveniently outgrown all of his winter shirts, and winter is noooot quite over yet! I'll just make sure the new duds are big enough to fit him next year.

Morning Sass!es

Bonnie, hope you get to see the doc today.
Shannon, so nice to see, I'm not the only loser in the crowd.
Tricia, want snow? We all have enough to share.
Becca, have you left the building?

PSA: Kimmy works in her pjs. I only DIS in mine.

 Mel, Julie, Squiddy, pirate: , Heather, Jeni, lovers and lurkers everywhere

Judi - Working in PJ's should be the norm. Working in pantyhose is for suckers.;)

Good morning, Sassies! Another snow day for BamBam, but Barney is skunked again with only a 2 hour delay. We keep consoling him that he will be out of school in May, while his brother slaves away until mid June but it is no consolation when there are sledding hills to be tackled! Ah, youth.

Bonnie - have you gotten your patootie to the doctor yet?

Shannon - Are you sore from the shoveling? When I shovel, I always find muscles that had been MIA!

Tricia - when is Colin's draft?

QOTD - What, if anything, do you put ketchup on? For me, it's only for fries. But, not McDonald's fries as they are strong enough to stand on their own. What does that clown put in his fries?

Hi Kimmy, Becca, Angie (where are you, girl?) and anyone else who is watching! Arrivederci!

Good Morning Sassies!

Yes Judi I'd love to have some of your snow. Can you believe that on Saturday night they said we may have snow flurries? Twice in one year, that just can't happen. Well it didn't happen but it was still exciting to hear.

I'm a ketchup snob:snooty: and will only buy Heinz. I put it on fries, chicken, scrambled eggs, sometimes on a hotdog and I've been known to dip fried mozzarella sticks in ketchup if marinara sauce isn't available. There's probably more I use it for and as it pops in this little mind of mine I'll update my list later.

Cole is the ketchup queen of the house. Even on shrimp. Chicken nuggets dive in tarter sauce though.

Hi there Sassies! I had a busy weekend and needed to recoup! I worked Saturday so I can get the supplies I need to landscape this spring. I love working for credit, no money out of my pocket and it gets me out of the house a few days a month. Sunday we went to Cabela's so Brian could get his handgun for his CCW. They had the best price there so even though it is 2 hours away we went for the day since Cabela's is entertaining for the kids, not for my wallet though. Cabela's to men is what Sam's club is to me, instant money sucker!!

QOTD: I only use Heinz and it goes on lots of stuff. I put in on burgers and then have to have a seperate pile to dip my burger in. Ketchup is the only thing that will go on my shrimp too Judi, don't even bring me cocktail sauce! Its from back in the day when we used to go shrimping in the Keys and my mom would fry them up and give us ketchup to dip them in since we really didn't like them back then. Now I love shrimp but I still dip.

Back to purging the basement. The boys have way too much crap and I'm having a garage sale in May to fix that.

Have a great day Sassies!

Hark! I FINALLY went to the doctor today! Hallelujah!! :dance3: :cheer2:  :yay: It was quick, they just did the little strep test, told me it was positive and wrote me a prescription. Easy peasy. 20 minutes. Now I'm on Penicillin (sp?) and shall return to work tomorrow!

I actually woke up today feeling MUCH better anyway. I'm tired, have a little headache, and the glands on the sides of my neck still hurt, and it's still a little hard to swallow, but a vast improvement from how I've been feeling. I'm soooo happy to be past the icky part. Now here's hoping my girls don't get it.... Or if they do, that's its a mild strain of it.

How's everyone else doing? Shannon can you believe it's only like 20 degrees? It's so sunny and it feels a lot warmer than that to me. I think the thermometers are totally trickin' us. I'm really happy we got this last snow before winter ends.

QOTD: I ONLY eat ketchup on french fries. All french fries. And tater tots. But won't eat ketchup on anything else. I eat only mustard and relish on my hotdogs and like my burgers plain.

Howdy hags and sassies!

I only eat ketchup on hamburgers-never on fries! I'm not a big ketchup fan.

Bonnie~Sorry to hear you've been so sick!! I've had strep many times, but never as bad as you have it! I've just had a horrible sore throat and fever. I guess I've been lucky!

Becca~how funny, we were at Cabela's looking at handguns last weekend, too! I've always been scared of guns, but DH is trying to talk me into getting one for protection. (don't worry-I'll take a class if I get one) But they are a little pricey, so we may have to wait awhile.

I have to complain about our weather-we were 90 degrees yesterday! :scared1: In March!!!!!!! It's just too early for that kind of heat-I'm not ready. :sad2:

Wake up, Sassies! Time to rise and shine! Hey, who knows that Noah's Ark "rise and shine" song? Let's all sing it, loud and proud!

I have a sub to work with today and she does not speak english so my spanish will come in handy, I'd say. It may be a long morning - wish me luck!

Angie - I just got a Cabela's catalog at my house yesterday - I had never heard of them before the mention on this thread. Strange coincidence. I'll trade your 90 degrees for my 6. Deal?

Becca - I am also a Heinz snob. I liked it a few years ago when they put funny sayings on the label. How's the basement going?

Bonnie - I'm glad you are on the road to recovery. Keep taking your antibiotics, lady - even when you feel better. Strep is a nasty little thing.

Hi Tricia, Judi, Yoda, Julie, Kimmy and all other lurkers! See ya later, Wallygator!

Helloooooooooooo?????????? Helloooooooooo?? Any Sassies out there, or are you all out shopping for socks and you left me home? Not that I want any socks, mind you, but if you are going to the mall you can get me one of those big cookies.:thumbsup2

Has anyone ever told you that you are a freak? This has nothing to do with Ketchup, I just wondered if anyone has ever told you that! ;)

Hi Wilma! :wave2:

Whazz up Sassies? No sock shopping here-- just a Costco run. May I just tell you all how much I love free samples? Today was minestrone, Ruffles chips, tuna fish on a cracker, and tomato sauce. Oh, and jellybeans. Random items, but tasty! And FREE. I think I'm turning into an old woman.

I love ketchup on fries (naturally), hash browns, & & hamburgers. Strictly a mustard (& kraut if at all possible) on my wienies! (And like Tricia, it's Heinz all the way.)

Hey Bon- glad you're feeling a bit better!

Wilma-- yes, I am super sore from my shoveling marathon! I had to do some serious stretching upon getting out of bed the past couple of mornings.

Judi-- yup. I am a card carrying LOSER. :thumbsup2 Gee whiz.

Bex-- Cabela's sounds like it would be fun for half an hour. After that... I'd tell my men to meet me at the closest book store!

Angus-- 90 degrees! Really? I'm guessing you aren't bothering with the socks.:rolleyes1

Hold the presses. Did I just read Squid's ticker correctly?

You're going BACK without us? Perhaps I'll UPS myself to your resort. Where are ya staying, at what's your res #? :rolleyes1
