Universal was alright. Not enough to keep one busy for 5 days though. We did go pirate mini-golfing and in turn I fell and ripped my foot open as I was in flipflops.

We close on the house on March 31st

I have to write a statement on a coworker which may get her fired. I am REALLY not wanting to do it. It's not my statement alone getting her fired, it's more the straw that broke the camel's back.

What's everyone up to? I have some fevery girls at my house! They have not been feeling well. Started on Sunday with Ainslee and each has taken their turn. Heather stayed home yesterday and today Caitlin. Not fun!

Bex, sorry about last night! I fell asleep at around 7:30, and my daughter woke me up and told me it was almost time (I asked her to), but I was so disoriented and so tired, I just wanted to go back to sleep! Let's reschedule soon though, lady! I know you're busy tonight!

Howdy, Sassies! Long time, no post! Re-entry from the trip has been difficult this time. The puppy continues to have bouts of Giardia, it's championship swim meet season (meaning more triaining hours ), and it's conference season at school so we're doing lots of assessments and writing about the students. Makes for a busy life, but I think about you guys every day .

Tricia - You would be proud my neighborhood - we actually threw a Mardi Gras parade! Complete with horns, golf carts, lawn mowers, masks, beads and one of those cakes with the baby baked inside. It was a lot of fun!

Shannon - Lordy, lordy - I hop onto the internet and see my big ol' face on the thread! And drinking, no less! I loved your Wishes picture, though - it was great! I think I am just going to send you the Photopass, okay? Or would Angie like it? You all can fight over it and we'll see who comes out on top!

Bonnie- I'm sorry about your work situation. Is it your assistant? Maybe they will reconsider, and she won't get fired. Are the girls feeling better? It seems like this whole town is sick with the flu. They have even closed schools over it. They need to hire Becca and her bleach bottle!

Becca - I love Pampered Chef parties - where was my invitation? I even asked Wally if he may have consumed it by mistake, but he assures me that that was not the case. I love to find out the myriad of ways you can make a meal with crescent rolls. Was the Taffy Apple Pizza tasty? What is your favorite Pampered Chef tool?

Judi - What's up, lady? How's mom? Is it warming up up there yet?

Angie - Hey, Roomie! What have you been up to? How's Gertie? How are the pups? I think we should schedule a dog meet. We can meet somewhere in the middle of the country, and just have a huge doggy playdate. They could play and we could sip margaritas. Bring your own rawhide - what do

As for Survivor... I watched Candace get voted off! She was the African-American, bikini-wearing woman who couldn't keep her mouth shut. (aside from the bikini, she hasn't changed much since high school).

Yes, I was watching Candace and her rather large tatas! Are those real?? They were kinda saggy so if they're fake she should sue her plastic surgeon! They didn't show much of her.

I could NOT sleep last night-I got like 4 hours of sleep last night and I am dragging tail today. I told Gertie she may have to wake me up if I start snoozing at my desk! They seriously need a turn your brain off pill.

Tricia~your day sounds so fun!! We were watching Top Chef and they were cooking at one of the Mardi Gras balls. My DH and I were saying we don't know how it all works. There are different groups or clubs that put on all the parades and parties, right? And do you have to be someone special to belong to these clubs? Where did all these groups/clubs come from? Are they kind of like the Elk and Moose clubs?

Shannon, I don't envy you! I could not imagine trying to keep my house "show" ready with my whirlwind, pigpen boys around. My house is clean, just messy if that makes sense. Have houses in your area taken a hit value wise? Kalamazoo has, but our neighbors just refinanced and were told the homes in our neighborhood are holding their value which makes me happy. Good luck!

Angie, I'm with you on the no sleep! I ran to Mcd's for a carmel latte this morning, I never do that. It didn't help either. I was wondering about the whole Marti Gras ball thing too while watching Top Chef! I was sad with the contestant sent home.

To all the Suvivor fans out there I saw "Sugar" today. I believe she was from last season. She was riding on a float with her name blasted on the side...............Sugar from Suvivor. She didn't throw me anything but she did look very pretty.

Let's see if I can answer some of Angie's questions. Anyone can join any of the Mardi Gras Crews as long as you know someone to get you in and you put up the money. I rode for five years before I was married. Good times for sure!!!!!!!! That is with the exception of the "old time crews" like Rex and Comus. That's a whole lot of old money and your sort of have to be born into to those clubs. They are probably the richest and most stingiest of them all. Now you have the so called "super crews" like Endimon and Bachus with over 3000 riders each. They know how to put on a parade and the local TV stations televise those live. I watched both of those from the comfort of my living room, snuggled up in a blanket with my pj's on. Today we started out with jackets and ended the day with a sunburn faces. The high's got to the upper 60's and were most pleasing. I'm sure the French Quarter was seeing some interesting sights today with the mild temps. That's no place for kids eyes and I haven't been there in probably 20 years.
