Still Sassy after all this time!

TGIF ladies!

Tricia, did you get Kendall off to camp ok? I'm sure she was excited. Hope your Geeks fixed the computer!
Yep, I brought her up this morning, got her all settled then defunkafied the dorm room with Clorox wipes. She is on the second floor this year which was nice because last year she was on the 4th. Since all the cheer squards arrive about the same times they don't want you using the elevators. One flight of stairs instead of three was quite manageable. :thumbsup2

Mel so sorry we missed your birthday. So, what did you do? :bday::cake:

Judi how is Cole enjoying her summer? I've been in school shopping mode since our summer is coming to an end rather quickly.

I think I may be one the the few if not the only one who isn't into Harry Potter of this sassy bunch. I think I've seen the first two movies but never did read any of the books. Maybe a HP marathon would be in order. So the movie that just came out, is that the last one in the series or is there one more?

Enjoy the rest of your Friday. We'll be heading back to camp tonight because all the teams perform their home routines for the parents. :cheer2:

Good morning, Sassies! This Wilma has been MIA! I've missed you guys:guilty:. The boys have been swimming, swimming and more swimming and I am trying to get all of Mr. FofP's grandma's stuff sorted through so we can give up her condo. It's really dominated the summer! Also, I must say I am shocked at how much moving companies charge. We inherited her piano, her dining room furniture, a bookcase and a wingback chair and it is costing an arm and a leg. But, the stuff is just too unwieldy to do ourselves, not to mention too heavy for wimps like us.

Barney has a swim meet this weekend and then state champs the following weekend and then we have the August swimming hiatus.:banana::yay:

Angie - check your facebook page, lady! I keep sending you cool gifts, like jello salads, and you never get them. A jello salad should never go to waste.

Becca - the message above is for you too. I know I am behind on the facebook bandwagon, but I miss you!

Bonnie - congrats on the new love life! Did you love NY? I love to visit there. What did you all do?

Judi - Hey there, lady! How are things in the great north? How is the family?

Squid - sorry about the broken heart. Time heals all things.:flower3:

Shannon - I don't envy you the yard work one smidgeon. Not my favorite chore by a longshot. Are you all vacationing in August?

Tricia - does the house feel empty with one less? Has Kelsie found a college she really likes yet?

Hope everyone has a great day. Happy belated birthday, Mel!

Well good morning Sassies.

It really feels like Monday to me. Yesterday we had to get Kendall from cheer camp and we left home at 6 AM. They had to be out of the dorms for 7:00, then they went to eat breakfast and the competition started at 9:00. We got to sit in the freezing arena for two hours waiting for them. Her squad placed 1st in four divisions. :cheer2: Needless to say she came home exhausted and slept most of the afternoon.

She has the last of her summer ortho appointments this morning. Can you believe we only have 2 1/2 weeks until school starts back? :scared1:

Good morning, Sassies! It's chilly and damp here. The water temp this morning was a chilly 74 degrees and Barney came out looking like one of those red white and blue popsicle thingies. My computer does not recognize popsicle as a word - how odd is that? :confused3

Congrats to Kelsie! I can't believe you only have 2 weeks left of summer vacation, Tricia. It feels like ours has not even started!

See you all later - have a great and sassy day!

Good morning Sassies.

I've got the Geek Squad coming to hopefully fix all my computer issues today. Sometime between 8:00 and 12:00 but I'm really hoping it's closer to 8 AM.

Good morning Sassies! Good morning, Tricia!

I've never used the Geek Squad, but the kids love the VW Bugs they drive around in. Mr. FofP usually fixes our computer, sometimes with mixed results.:sad2:

It's a Wally Daycare day. Usually he is there by now but we are getting a later start because Barney has to go to the orthodontist today, I hate to say it, but his teeth are just not pretty right now. Time for the braces portion of life, I think!

Tricia, have you already completed your school supply shopping? I saw a Walmart school supply commercial the other day and thought of you!

Hi Angie, Shannon, Becca, Bonnie, Squid, Julie, Judi and Mel! Hope everyone has a great day!

Tricia, have you already completed your school supply shopping? I saw a Walmart school supply commercial the other day and thought of you!

I'm not totally finished yet but have a good start on it. After the computer guy leaves today we are going to Walmart to try and finish up. :teacher:

Hi Sassies! Life has been so busy around here lately. Swimming will be done on Saturday, its good and bad. Now I have to entertain them 7 days a week until we go to Disney. Yikes!!!! Next week I don't have the twins or their sister so we have some fun things planned that we can't do with them.

Tricia, I can't believe the kids are almost back in school! I know they get out sooner than my boys, but still it seems like yesterday.

Wilma, does Wally like doggy daycare? I'm not looking forward to the days of braces. I'm pretty sure Brendan and Justin will both need them.

Shannon, did the yard swallow you?

Bonnie, I want to go to NYC! Brian has been there and isn't really excited to go back.:confused3

Judi, how are things in the frozen tundra. What a crazy summer huh? We usually have 80s and 90s by now.

Angie, did you see Harry Potter yet? I was very disappointed with most of it, but there were some parts that were good.

Hi Julie, Mel and Squiddy!

Good morning to all citizens of Sassyville! All is well with me, just trying to stay in the AC constantly.

I haven't seen Harry Potter yet, but we are going this weekend. I'm trying to remain optimistic, but after hearing how many people were disappointed I'm not holding out a lot of hope. Of course the MIL wants to go with us even though she couldn't care less about Harry Potter. I'm mad because I wanted to start reading all the books again and have them finished before seeing the movie, but I've been too engrossed in other books to even start!!
I'm reading this really good book now called These Is My Words. It's a diary of a woman's life in Arizona in the late 1800's. It's based on the author's family history. It is SO good!!

Anybody watching Big Brother? It's hard to find somebody to like this season, but so far Casey and Jeff are my favorites. I didn't watch last night's episode yet, but I did hear who won POV and am really glad!!

Gertie's yakkin' at me, so I better get back to work. Hope you all have a great day!! :flower3:

Yay! I'm so glad to hear from Sassy Becca and Angie!!!!!!!

I have yet to see HP, but am going on Friday. I shall remain optimistic - both Barney and Mr. FofP liked it but they did note that some good parts are absent.

Becca - if Brian doesn't want to go to NYC, I suggest it as our next Sassy Meet! What do you think, ya'll? Yep, Wally loves daycare but had to do a big time out today for unnecessary roughness with and Australian Shepherd. They think it was the last burst of testosterone leaving him - I hope so!

Angie - I am watching BB, but don't have a favorite yet. I am soooooooo bummed that Jessie is back - he drove me nuts the last time around!

See you all in the morning, Sassies!:goodvibes

Good morning, Sassy women! I have to clean out my dining room today to prepare it for new furniture.:thumbsup2 I wonder if Wally will help? He's busy preparing himself for his "tricks" class. Ya'll have any tricks that you think Wally should learn how to do?

Have a great day, Sassies!

Happy Friday Sassies - I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Tricia, School already. We haven't even had summer up here yet. Yes, Becca was correct when she called it the frozen trunda. I'm so pround of your :cheer2: captain. I remember when Kendall was just trying out for the squad.

Becca, if you are heading up this way, pack your long johns. We did Birch Run to get Cole some school clothes. Thought about you while playing in Frankenmuth. School clothes shopping, for a high school girl, ladies be grateful you have boys.

Toots, Squiddy, sorry to read about the heartbreak of dating, bright side, just read Angie's "I never get to see my husband alone anymore" chapter.

Shannon, all settled in and ready to have a Sassy Party? Wilma can bring the piano for the sing-along. Wilma, braces, best money ever spent.

Hi Julie & Meli

Have a blessed Sunday, and sent some heat please, the running of the furnace in July is just so wrong.

Hey, Judi! Long time, no chat - so glad to hear from you. Believe me, I thank my stars every time I take the boys shopping (usually on the internet, because they really don't care!). God knew not to send me a girl!

Well, summer league swimming is over - HOORAY! The championship was yesterday and both boys swam well and had a lot of fun with their friends. Now we look to state champs on Friday and then NOTHING!!!!!!! I feel like my vacation is just about to begin!:goodvibes

What's everyone doing this fine July weekend?

Good morning, Sassies! Anyone out there?

Mr. FofP's grandma's furniture arrives today, so we have been busy bees emptying rooms and throwing stuff out. I love to purge! Off to the Goodwill for me a little later this morning.

As I sat typing that last paragraph, Wally helped himself to a tasty paperback book - sigh. Puppyhood is a long road.

What is everyone up to today?

Happy Monday sassies!! We actually have 2 school districts going back to school today!! :scared1: Those poor kids. They must get some extra breaks or something since they are going back so early. And we are under an Excessive Heat Warning for today and tomorrow (possibly 113 degrees!!) so I hope they don't have to walk home!

We went to see Harry Potter yesterday. It was good, but definitely not my favorite. It was my least favorite book, so I guess it makes sense it would be my least favorite movie, too. And I HATE the thing that happened to the Weasley's that wasn't in the book!!! What was the point of that??

The MIL spent the whole weekend with us again. 12 hours on Saturday and almost 7 yesterday. Dwight actually had to tell her that she was welcome to stay, but he couldn't sit and watch TV with her anymore cuz he had stuff to do. So she took the hint and left. Ah, good times! But next weekend we are going to the mountains and to pick tomatoes at a farm on the way so he told her he wouldn't see her next weekend. I'm thrilled for the break.

Well since they extended free dining Dwight wants to think about going back to WDW instead of the cruise. But it will still be a lot more expensive so I think we will probably stick with the cruise. I swear that man would go to WDW every other month if he could!!

Wilma-I hate to tell you but I have a 4 year old dog that STILL chews stuff up every once in awhile!!!!

Judi-so good to hear from you!! As always you are welcome to some of our heat-we always have enough to spare.

Have a great day everybody!

Hello my Sassy friends! Had a great weekend, but ate waaay too much. Ryan & I had a much-needed date night on Saturday-- went to Ruth's Chris steakhouse. Yummmm... The chocolate explosion cake was murderously good. As in, take one more bite off of my plate Mr, and you're toast!

Sunday we had friends over that we haven't seen in a long time (we lived over an hour away, and now just 15 minutes!)

Tomorrow I'll register Reece for middle school. How did he get so old on me?:confused3 I'm also planning an impromptu trip to Ohio for the end of Aug. We'll stop by Ryan's dad's house, then head up to Sandusky to go camping & hit Cedar Point.

Tricia, hope you have your computer issues fixed. Was your Geek Squad representative sufficiently geeky?

Becca-- Are you getting excited for Disney yet? I am hoping to get there before my AP expires, but I'll have to lay that one on Ryan after we've made a few house payments.:rolleyes1 Our first one isn't due until Sept 1st, and he's halfway to a coronary just thinking about it.

Wilma, YAY for new (to you) furniture, and double YAY for a break from swimming! I think you should spend your time installing new puppy-proof bookshelves.

Judi-- Yes, settled in & ready for a Sassy party! Seriously, if anyone ever is interested in a D.C. meet, I would love to have you all! And I really hope you get some summer weather before summah is ovah!

Squiddy-- did you have a good weekend? Are you getting back on the dating horse again?

Angus-- Tell me again why your MIL even bothered getting her own place? All of that "quality time" is going to get old FAST, isn't it? I hope you have a good mountain getaway weekend. And I hope it cools down! Being hot doesn't usually help one feel less grumpy toward certain annoying others...

Hi Bon, Kimmy, Julie, Mel, and everyone else! Hope you're all enjoying your summer!

Squiddy-- did you have a good weekend? Are you getting back on the dating horse again?

I don't know - this relationship thing may just be a dead horse after all. I am seeing a really nice guy, but he lives almost 5 hours away (Detroit). I just can't find a guy in Indiana that I like. Already though we are having some drama and trust issues (his side) and I just wonder if all of this is worth it!

I have just been spending my time with Kate and soccer. I won't get to see the "guy" for about 3 more weeks which is crapola! Long distance relationships really are the pits.

How was everyone else's weekend? Sorry about the paperback Wilma, but it made me laugh! :rotfl: Oh and I am jealous of the Ruth's Chris date Shannon - I love that place!

Oh, it's nice to see some Sassies around here! Good Tuesday morning, all!

Angie - 113 degrees almost sounds tempting, I must say. It has been far too cold here this summer, and I live for the hot weather. When will you go to Disney? Are you going to try out Cat Cora's new restaurant, the one that used to be Spoodles? I'd love to give that a whirl, but when we go for the 2 days before our cruise we are staying at the BLT and want to stick close to there as it is such a short trip. Good for Dwight in standing up for your time alone!:thumbsup2 What a good egg. I actually liked the HP movie, but then again I liked the book. Didn't understand the Weasley part either, I am afraid. And what about Bill and the werewolf? Sigh.

Shannon - If you find someone that builds puppy proof shelving, please let me know. Wally has a taste for fine literature, in the literal sense of course. As for the swimming, we are not quite done - Barney has state champs this Friday and then we are headed to the Jersey shore for a weekend with friends. I can't wait to leave Cville and chlorine behind! I am SOOOO jealous that you are going to Cedar Point! We have to wait until BamBam is 52 inches or it would be meltdown city at the foot of some of those coasters. Ride Top Thrill for me, okay? It and Millenium are my favorites!!!

Squid - long distance dating is sooooooo hard - I feel for you. I had a 3 year long distance relationship before I got married, and it was really a challenge. Hang in there!

Hi Tricia, Judi, Bonnie, Becca. Mel, and everyone else who's watching! It's off to the dentist for me - my new crown is in and needs to find it's home in my mouth. Oh, joy. Arrivederci!
