Still Sassy after all this time!

Happy Birthday Judi & Cole!

Hope Mr. FoP had a nice birthday. I think Wally needs an overpriced Disney misting fan, don't you? And his own personal Mist-ress to follow him around the yard, cooling him off. You don't have anything better to do, right Wilma?:rotfl:

I'll be back later to comment on all the posts I've missed. Have to make sure the house is clean, then take Riley for his Kindergarten Dr.'s check-up. Probably a trip to the dollar store afterward for a gift to atone for letting him get poked with needles.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLE & JUDI!!!

HBPresentPinkDances.gif

I hope you both have a fabulous day!!! :flower3:

The MIL gets back today to stay forever! Her furniture gets here tomorrow, but she doesn't seem in any big hurry to move into her new house, so she'll be with us for awhile (until she gets Mr. Angie to do more work for her ;)).

Busy busy around our house-Mr. Angie started a new job yesterday (hurray!!) but he's going to be working 10-12 hour days so he got home late last night and was exhausted. And of course I was cleaning like a mad woman for the MIL visit.

My niece's baby (is he my grand-nephew??) is in the hospital. He has some kind of infection. It's in his lungs and also his hip socket, so they put an IV into his hip to inject the antibiotics in. They are worried it's not working fast enough, so today they're going to place something into his heart or near his heart so the antibiotics can get into his system faster. Poor baby will be 1 on May 6th-he may be in the hospital for his birthday!!

And then my mom goes in for heart surgery next Tuesday. She either has a partially blocked artery (if so they'll put in a stint) or a total blockage (in that case they'll do bypass surgery immediately). I'm not too stressed-I know they do these procedures all the time and she'll be just fine.

Wow, I'm full of good news today, huh? Too much going on!! Thanks for letting me share-it always helps!

Angie  Glad Mr. Angie got a job

Thank You all for the birthday wishes.

Does that hamster come with a cage? My cats would love him to death.:upsidedow

Hey Sassies! I finally have some time. Trying to get ready for a garage sale is not fun at all, but I will be happy to get rid of some stuff!

Angie, so sorry about your great nephew and mom. Prayers being said for both.

Bonnie, I'm sorry you in such a pickle. I have no advice just wanted to let you know I'm here if you need to talk.

Squid, you are becoming a hot commodity! Have fun! Although if its Florida vs. Indiana I know which I would choose.:rolleyes1

Judi, the hamster is not cage trained. He prefers a bubble like the hamster in Bolt. That way the cats can play with him and he will survive.

Tricia, your trip is coming up so fast! The kids are almost out of school and you get them back for the summer, how fun is that?

Wilma, 4 more weeks for you! That will fly by. I keep getting emails from you and I think everyone in your contact list. I have never opened them and my computer is working fine.

Shannon, here's hoping your house will sell quickly! Yikes, housing there is pricey eh? Will you be looking for another townhouse or stand alone house?

Hi Kimmy and Julie!

I forgot to tell you all that I am now a great aunt. My neice had her baby last Sunday. Teeny tiny thing, she had jaundice and has a glow light. My nephew told my neice they gave her that so she won't lose her. I can't believe they have that many people living in their house. It makes me sad.:sad1:

Oh Angie I'm so sorry to hear about your mom and great nephew. How sad. Prayers being said for both and please keep us updated.

So glad your hubby got a job!!
:thumbsup2
House went on market today. You can see my house in all its glory (hahahaha) at

Gotta go run errands...

Shannon good luck with the house sale. By the way you did a great job getting it ready and it's beautiful!

Congrats Aunt Becca. I hope your little niece gets over the jaundice really quick. Oh babies are so fun.

Judi I like the new name in your siginature. :thumbsup2

Morning everybody!! Mr. Angie left the house at 6:00 yesterday morning and didn't get home until 8:30 last night!! I guess they are trying to kill him the first week. ;) Actually, he's an account rep and he's been visiting all the out of town accounts so far. This is his last day for that and then he'll just be focusing on the Phoenix accounts for awhile so the days should be much shorter.

Judi~hope your b-day was a good one. Did you do anything fun?

Becca~Congrats on being a great aunt!! Welcome to the club. Of course I'm still the only grandma here!! :headache:

Shannon~the house looks beautiful!! Have you picked a new one yet? I bet you can't wait to move and have more time with the hubby. :thumbsup2

Tricia~have you been to WDW this time of year before? I've always wondered how hot and crowded it is in May. Will the Flower/Garden Festival still be going on when you're there? I would love to go to that and see all the cool topiaries and pretty flowers. :flower3:

Squiddy~you're such a hussy dating all those men!! ;) Glad you're in a happier time now!!

Whatever happened to Heather? And Jeni has disappeared again. And Kimmy and Julie...and Mel!

Good afternoon, Sassies! It has just started to rain here and I am praying that they will cancel soccer. It's not so much the soccer that I mind, it is the fact that devil-child comes home with BamBam on soccer days so that I can drive them both to soccer. However, before the driving to soccer takes place we have 2 hours of preventing household and canine destruction courtesy of devil-child. Don't ask me how I got roped into this - I think his parents called to ask me for this favor after I had had a few glasses of wine. That's what I get for drinking..........:rotfl:

Angie - that is great news about Mr. Angie! I am so happy for you! And it sounds like they are on the right track with your grand nephew. Those poor parents - what a way to start parenthood! Try not to worry too much about your mom - you are right that these procedures are done daily and are well researched. Prayers for you and all that is going on right now!

Becca - we finally figured out that the spam that keeps coming from my account must be from hotmail itself. We wiped out our hard drive and reinstalled all new stuff but the spams keep going out. I have now deleted all of my contact list so hopefully it will quit but keep me posted if it doesn't, okay?

Shannon - I am sure that Wally would love a personal mister and a "mistress" for his convenience but it's not going to happen. Speaking of Wally, I think he just let himself into one of my vanity drawers to steal a headband for chewing purposes - hold on........................ yup, he ate it. Ay yi yi!

Hi Tricia, Judi, Squid, Bonnie et al. Have a great day, ladies!

I've never actually gone in May before. Summer yes and it's very hot. I'm sure May will be right up there with June but not quite as hot as August. I'm just hoping that we beat some of the summer crowds since we are leaving right as school lets out. Lots of kids still don't get out until June so we'll see.

Heather has been MIA for quite a while but Kimmy, Julie and Mel have just gone missing in the last couple of weeks. OK, fess up............who scared them away?

It must have been me - my reappearance seems to have coincided with their disappearance! Perhaps it's my huge rock necklace that they are intimidated by, or all of those huge roasts that I cook for Fred. They can be frightening. Come back, guys!:)

Shwew! Is this day over yet?

We had 4 showings of the house today, including one walk-up, which I think is a good start. Must be all of that good karma Judi & the rest of you Sassies sent my way!

Now to catch up on Sassy posts...

Bonntastic!

Yay on the nice visit with Joe (and the passport request! Who wouldn't want to travel if it was offered?)

Boo to the weight gain. I'm right there with ya sister, and it's not pretty! We'll nip it in the bud though-- good weather is soon to be here!

Squid-- Oooh! A personal trainer! Good catch! Glad to hear things with your St. Pete are going well. Is it weird to be back on the market after so long?

Bex-- Yup, real estate is pricey here. What's sad is that we've dropped our price by $150,000 since the last time we tried to sell. We're going to buy a single-family house out further from the city. Cheaper, better schools. If Ryan switches his office to one out there, his commute goes waaaaay down.

I'm glad your new grand-niece is ok. It's amazing what they can do for preemies and sick newborns these days! Fill me in on the situation though-- is their house over-crowded already?:confused3

Good luck on the garage sale!:thumbsup2 Is this to pad the Disney fund?

Judi-- I don't have any hamsters to offer you, but I do have two persnickety hermit crabs. Any takers? Otherwise, I may be staging an accidental release next time we're at the beach.:rolleyes1

Angus-- Yikes! Mr. Angie's hours sound like Ryan's, which I can tell you, make for a grizzly of a husband after a while. I hope things simmer down for him. Does he like what he's doing, or is he too tired to even talk about it?:rotfl:

Tricia-- I forgot that your trip was coming up so soon! I can't wait to hear about weather/crowds as well. Are you getting excited yet? And thanks for the compliments on the house. I certainly have busted my rear getting it ready! Not that my rear actually shows any improvement.:sad2: Just the house.

Wilma-- Was soccer cancelled, or did you suffer the wrath of Devil Child once more? Next time you crack open some vino, you should hide the phones first! Did Wally go for the Sassy headband? If I were a canine in search of headwear to chew upon, that would be my first choice.

I'm thinking the previously mentioned missing Sassies were scared off by Orangey Feathered-Mullet Muscle guy a few pages back.

Good Morning Sassies. Just a quick post and run because Mark is home this morning. He's looking to do a little work before heading off to a meeting. I'll check back later.

Gooooooooood Moooorning Sassy Ladies!!! ( I put on my best Robin Williams voice for that one - did you like it?;))

It's a chilly wet day in my corner of Sassyland. Yes, it did rain out soccer  so we had no soccer. However, Wally spent the afternoon in DestructoPup mode and after munching on my lime green headband he devoured the Sassy one. You were right, Shannon, it was too much for a headband-munching canine to bear. Or, perhaps he has a grudge against the DIS since he chose the lime green one as well. Who knows what is going on in that fuzzy little head of his!

Hubby home for the day, Tricia? Is that a good thing, or does it put a cramp in your style with the daily routine?

Angie - Are the pups missing your DH? Maybe they can join in headband-eating fests with Wally via the internet. We need to get these pups computer savvy so that they can expand their social horizons.

Shannon - Good news for the house! It sounds like you all are off to a great start! Have you started looking for a house in Ashburn?

Bonnie and Squid - good luck with the men!

Becca - where for art thou? I need my word game partner back!

Judi - this parenting-a-middleschooler thing is difficult. Why didn't you let us in on that secret before;)?

Bye for now!

Good Morning

Angie & Becca, how are those babies:hug: Angie, I became a Grandma when I got married to Mr. Judi. Yes those grannies get younger and prettier everyday.:rotfl2:

Shannon, 4 showings already is :thumbsup2
Squiddy, play the field. You don't need no stinkin high school ring just yet. Bonnie, you readin this, have fun with more than one.
Mrs. FOP, devil child? Future husband of Missy Pink Hair

Tricia, it is soooo kind of you to share with Mr. Tricia. Is he done yet?:flower3:
Kimmy made my name for my birthday. She is so talented.
Mel how is the job hunting going for Mr. Mel.:grouphug:
Julie, when does Mr. Julie's painting start?

Shout out to Heather, Sara & all others we have lost along the way.

Wow Shannon-4 showings!!! You're gonna be outta there before you know it!!

Judi~I have to admit that I am vain enough to tell people that I am a STEP-grandma. Otherwise they look at me like I'm some redneck hick who must have had a baby at 13 since I'm already a grandma. And my step-daughter really is only 13 years younger than me!!

My great nephew seems two be the same. They messed up his surgery somehow. I don't really understand it, but they were supposed to install two lines (or picks??) to his heart but only installed one. So he is only getting antibiotics through the new line and I guess he was supposed to be getting something else, too. It's really hard to get info that's been passed down the line-it never makes too much sense. :confused3 I'm not sure what they are going to do now. And of course we have to wait for my niece to call us since she can't use her cell phone in his room.

Wilma~I think I will start computer classes with the furbabies ASAP. That way they can keep themselves busy whilst we are at work (and not chewing on the carpet which is Sierra's favorite thing!).

Tricia~is Mark working on your honey-do list, or something he actually wants to do?? :rotfl:

Happy Thursday everyone!

I have a lunch date today. It is with a man who works for the same company I do. We have 30,000 employees and I just found out we have a singles group.

Shannon - good luck on the house!

So we have hot grandmas here on the Sassies, huh? Whoo Hoo!

Shouts everyone - Judi, Wilma, Tricia, Bex, Angie, Bon, Kimmy, Julie, Mel and anyone else!!!

Hey Sassies!

Angie, that has to very frustrating about your great nephew. I'm going with the step great aunt mantra too. Although I have never considered my neice my step neice so maybe I won't.

Judi, Tatiana is doing better. No more glow bug vest! Is it raining up there too? Man we may need Wilma's ark.

Wilma, I'm around, just trying to get ready for a garage sale tomorrow.

Squiddy, wow you are meeting men all over the place! Who knew?

Shannon, congrats on the showings! Thats great! Okay, here is the scoop on my brothers life. He married a lady who had 2 kids, they had 2 together, adopted a cousins daughter since he lost custody, last summer she found out she was pregnant again, a month later found out her oldest daughter was pregnant(she's only 18). So, that makes 9 people living in their house and it although it is a comfy home for a family of 4 or 5, its very tight with 9!

Garage sale? Becca, have you ever read Walter the Farting Dog at the Yard Sale? If not, you should. You could glean valuable information should you ever be in the same situation that Walter's family did. You never know!

Here's to all of the Sassy Grannies and Great Aunts (which is much better than being Crappy Aunt, you know!).

Prayers for all of the sick little ones!
