Good Morning Sassies!

Becca I hope Brendan had a great birthday. Sorry I'm a day late with my birthday wishes.

So he is officially a "tween" now.

Yesterday I was a couch potato all day. Nothing much to report because basically I did nothing. :rotfl2:

We are in the 20's this morning. Please stop blowing the cold down South. We've had enough already but thanks for thinking of us and sharing. You can stop now! By Friday we'll be back to the 70's just in time for the weekend.

Judi just how cold does it have to get before you break out the socks?

Why yes, Kimmy I am. What would you like. :teeth:

Tricia, don't think socks are going to happen this year :rotfl:

Ahoy!

I need to be less crazy so I can hang out more.

Need vacation like now or I'm going to go crazy soon.

Hello Sassies!

Its been a long week...camping was a blast. All of the kids got a long great, my dad likes DBF they spent a few days bonding...and driving me batty. :rotfl: Hope you all are staying warm. It was 27 when I left for work this morning.

Here's a few pictures from this weekend.

Shannon

I haven't even broke out the socks and shoe yet.

Wow. You and Becca must have thick-soled Hobbitt feet to endure the cold without toe coverage!

Brendan:
Shannon~was it just you and Squiddy last night?? I have an appointment Wednesday night, and I'm not sure how long it'll take-I should be home in time to chat at 6:30 or 7:00. 2 weeks from tomorrow!!! :cheer2: :cool1:

Bonnie~I can drink mixed drinks, I just need to be careful and not go crazy or I'll be totally hungover the next day. I don't drink like I did in my youth anymore. But at $8-$10 per drink I think I can restrain myself!! :teeth:

Yup. Just me the Squidster. Bonnie had technical difficulties which then led to Wilma's technical difficulties. It was a slippery slope! :rotfl: Sorry I missed you guys last night (if you indeed got on MSN.) Riley had asthma attack, & by the time I got him settled & in bed, I was a zombie.

As for the drinking... No worries! I think I can speak for all of us when I say we are light-weights. I plan on drinking juuust enough to be pleasantly goofy. (As opposed to embarrassingly goofy). For me, that's not many drinks!

Morning everyone!

Yes poor Shannon took one for the team last night and chatted it up with me. Although to be fair both Bonnie and Hope also had brief individual chat time with me and they survived. -or at least I think they did!- :flower3:

I am not nearly as scary as meeting Bonnie, because unlike her - I keep my tentacles to myself. Ok, maybe I don't, but honestly I only harrass her and that was under extreme stress after a vicious wet paper towel pelting in the bathroom. Oh yeah, also there was that one time with the salt shaker, but honestly it attacked first!

::yes::

Shannon, middle school really? I still have one more year of elementary school for Brendan and Justin may be there forever if he doesn't stop playing possum at school.

Squiddy, I'm with you on Bonnie starting things! She is an instigator of highest degree. Watch out for your appendages ladies, she'll lick you! I think Angie was the one who received the paper towel treatment in Chicago if I recall. You can never relax in the midst of Bonnie!

Yup, middle school. Time goes by so quickly! And don't get me started on my "baby" going to kindergarten!:sad1:

I can also state with authority that Bonnie likes to lead her friends unwittingly into Men's Rooms, in effort to surprise some poor chap "mid-stream." She then likes to break out her best British accent, and exclaim in a most proper voice (as if the whole scene were unintentional) "Oh My Word! I am so sorry!" Beware Sassies!!!!pirate:

I love you Viggo!

Becca certainly prefers her men dirty, doesn't she?

Tricia, don't think socks are going to happen this year :rotfl:

Hi Frodo! :wave2:

This thread needs CPR,ASAP,KWIM

ITA. Calling 911 STAT.:firefight

Ahoy!

I need to be less crazy so I can hang out more.

Need vacation like now or I'm going to go crazy soon.

Well smack me with a shoe lace, if it isn't Miss Mel the Southern Belle! Hope work simmers down for ya! When are you leaving for Uni?

TRICIA-- I may take a cue from you and find a day to do absolutely Nuthin! I feel like I've been running a mile a minute lately. (Too bad for my "saddle bags" that I'm not actually running!:)

JENI-- Awesome pics! Looks like you had a fabulous time. So happy everyone got along. Makes life much easier, doesn't it?

I once made Brian pluck the quills out of a road kill porcupine so I could take a class to learn how to make Indian baskets. I lost them and never took the class.

That's my CPR story for this thread.

Hola Sassies!

Jeni love the pictures. It does look like the kids all got along great together. Glad to hear ya'll had a great weekend.

Becca you've got a good man there to pluck a porcupine for you. So did he get stuck a few times?

I'm down to double digits until Disney. Only 99 days left. :thumbsup2

Jen - I love the pictures! Looks like so much fun.

Shannon - Leaving on the 6th after work so we should be getting in around 10/11pm that night.

I haven't even really planned anything yet though. I should get to that.

Now THAT is love. The only thing gross Ryan has ever done for me was to take me on "Fart Walks" around the hospital after my c-sections. (they won't let ya leave until you pass gas. )

Oh he's stuck all right...:rolleyes1

And as for your countdown, :cool1: I'm rather pyched about mine as well!

What?!?! No plans?!?!?! Lady, I fear for your mental health! This is not the Mel we know.:scared:

Good Morning Sassies!!!!!

How did I beat Judi here today? Sams Club is calling my name today. Can you hear it? :listen:

I went to a Pampered Chef party last night. Fun times with the girlfriends. The host was cooking chicken in the microwave for a dish they would be demonstrating later. I realized I never cook in the microwave, just reheat. So, I was wondering if you actually use your microwave to cook or just reheat like I do? We haven't had a question of the day in a while so we'll go with this one today.

Good morning Sassies!

I love Pampered Chef parties. Their stoneware is awesome.

QOTD: the extent of my microwave cooking is co co wheats and oatmeal. Other than that I only use it to reheat or melt things.

Good Morning, girls.
I also love a good Pampered Chef Party (LOVE THE BEER BREAD)

QOTD, I do ZERO cooking, this includes the microwave :rotfl2:

Love Pampered Chef, but I feel like I need a 2nd mortgage on the house to buy anything. I guard my measuring cups like a Hawk, lest anyone mistakenly dishwasher or manhandle them, thus rendering them useless.

I steam veggies (which only I will eat) and cook rice in microwave, but otherwise is for melting & re-heating.

Yup! I have the round baking stone & love it to pieces. Have burnt the crap out of myself though several times-- always forget it stays hot forever!

:lmao: I bet your appliances look new!

Off to help out with Riley's carpool, then to work off last night's Outback at the gym.:guilty: I may swing by & breathe my Bloomin' Onion breath on Bonnie. I know how she loves all things onion.;)

Have book club meeting tonight, Boy Scout pinewood derby tomorrow, and then we're taking the boys to Monster Jam down in the city. That'll be enough testosterone-laden activities to last me a while, you think?

What are all of you doing this weekend?
