Hi Sassies! Long time no talk. I think it has only been a few days, but it feels like weeks. Here's the scoop:
1. No snow, but still cold. I just got home from dinner with a friend who just moved here from Texas, & the poor womanl is freezing to death! Saw many salt trucks lined up on side of road. Haven't checked weather yet, but maybe we're due for some nasty white stuff tonight?? Side note: had the best sushi ever tonight. Mmmmm!
2. Good news= received FREE leather couches, only a few years old & in great shape, from a SIL who spends way too much money & got a bug up her butt to get new ones.
Bad news= She has dogs, and despite our 4 hr cleaning/vacuuming of couches, Riley's eyes swelled shut after playing on them today. (for those who may not know, he has terrible dog allergy)
Any advice? I think it's from dander IN the couches. We had mistakenly thought the leather wouldn't be as porous, but obviously we were wrong.
Shannon - I didn't see your PM until late last night! I'm glad you forgot! How about this weekend?

When it's this cold the junk in your nose freezes and you can't breathe. Its not a good feeling!

Yep, you are in the "cool" group now! Its not a place I'm really excited about being though. But it will make your escape to sunny Florida that much better! Now if we can get Bonnie and Shannon some snow the circle will be complete. Global warming is apparently on vacation!
That's it lady. If you threaten us with the white stuff one more time, Bonnie & I will have no choice but to carry out bodily harm upon your (possibly frozen) moonrock!!!! You've been served!::cop:

As my father liked to say "You are cruisin for a bruisin" with all of this wishing snow upon us! Snow days, yes. The actual snow itself, no thanks! Don't make me road trip up to the frozen tundra & open a can of something on your moonrock too!!!
Weight loss ain't looking too pretty right now. I'm just not in to it like I was before. I'm still exercising every day so no more weight gain but I think my brain took a few weeks off.
I hear ya sister. Been to the gym twice this week, but today alone I've eaten my weight in food.
Went to a baptism this morning, followed by

buffet that was amazing. I was not skeeved out by the buffet b/c we had a private room & buffet all to ourselves. Just family & friends, and their skeevy germs are our skeevy germs!
Tonight, I ate an embarrassing amount of sushi.
Morning! We now have 6 inches! I feel soooooo cool! (and I mean that in both in a "I finally fit in" AND "am completely freezing" kind of way). Schools are on delay for the temperatures though - they did a test on the news this morning where they took a drop of water and dropped it and it froze before it hit the pavement.
I would say "yippee" and "congratulations on your snow accumulation" but you know I'd be lying. So I'll just say "happy shoveling!!"
Its still not cold enough for snow here. Last night I played softball in 50 degree weather. Its no fun to see your breath as you're running.
It isn't fun to see my breath when I run, but I've been told that the actual watching of me running is really quite entertaining.
We're going to be 74 today. Bring on the shorts, T-shirts and flip flops!

DBF got his orders yesterday, then when he reported to his unit he was told that they could get 3 soldiers for his pay so they put him on standby. He took it well but last night you could tell that it was bothering him.
Since its a 4 day weekend for the kids we're going camping. DBF and I are taking all 5 kids, my parents and DS & DBIL and DN are also going. It should be fun if we can get through the nights in our tents.

Awww... I'm really sorry about Roger's orders. That must be difficult for him. Hope you had fun camping!
Your 12 person camping trip reminded me to tell you guys that growing up, my family camped in an old circus tent. We could've fit the entire neighborhood in that thing (or a few elephants & trained poodles.) Ryan's response to learning that little tidbit was "And it all makes sense..."

Hi my favorite Hoodbridge resident! Hope you had a great weekend! I am preparing our box to ship at the end of this week!! Other than the essential liquids, anything else you guys want me to ship? I'm putting in some granola bars for breakfast, in an effort to keep my wallet a little thicker.

Wally has been enrolled in the FOP Puppy Boot Camp program and must now work for whatever he wants. Dinner will be served in a Kong toy to prolong the pleasure, and walks must be conducted in an expeditious manner.
The cold must have gotten to my brain cells.
What color is it? And as for my moonrock, you DCians need your fair share of the white stuff if it's cold it may as well be snowing. Do you never have snow? 
I'm bringing granola bars, too. We usually eat those for breakfast and have an early lunch.
