I was told by a CM at Disney (which some say different things) that if there were offers/discounts coming out for the fall it would be after April 30 when the current stuff expires.
I'll wait another month or so before I book mine to see what comes out, but by mid to the end of May i'm going to book, i'd be too nervous to wait any longer than that. After booking if no discounts or offers have been announced, i'll just keep waiting and hope one falls within my week cause I have to purchase airfare soon too! SO STRESSFUL
I'm thinking more like 90 days out or less for any discount offers. Based on this thinking it may not be until August to hear about any winter deals.
In addition, it may not be as good as noticed by the recent public offer for summer.
I'm actually thinking about taking a pass on Disney; I skipped last year, too. I think the best way to speak to Disney is not to give them my buck. Now, if there's a good deal like free dining then I'm up and running for December myself.
I think it will be several months before any general public deals are released for Nov./Dec. Last year the first deals for that period were released on July 6, with more being released Aug. 16. I doubt we'll see anything much sooner than that.
I agree with beautifultomorrow. Last summer discounts for the late fall/winter weren't released until July. I'm thinking it will be the same time frame this year.
I'm debating booking before then so I can do my 180+10 ADRs, but, meh, I may just do them day by day online & still wait to book.

Thank you so much for posting this link-- I have been looking for this exact thing and for some reason wasn't able to find it myself even on mousesavers! So glad to have the historical info.
In looking back at 2010 posts though those Free Dining pincodes started coming out for Oct Nov and Dec to some emails in early May, so hopefully we'll be lucky enought this year.

We are anxiously waiting for Nov discounts as well. We already booked POR for "Jersey Week" but really want to head back to the Poly (our favorite!) Fingers crossed that something will come out for our dates!
well, i booked for nov... i am eligible for a non-public discount, but was really hoping for either 7/4 deal or free dining (esp free dining)... i'm happy w/booking now 'cause i want to pay it off a hundred or two at a time and by booking six months out, i have the time to do that ('cause actually saving the money is not my strong suit! LOL!)
We are thinking of possibly taking a trip to Disney in early November due to a family wedding we have in Jacksonville.... I really hope it happens!! Its been about 20 years since Ive experienced Disney at Xmas time!!! )
Does anyone know if there have been discounts or free dining offered over the week of Thanksgiving? I wondered if that week was usually excluded from any offers. We are planning to go this year at that time and wasn't sure what to expect.
We have our air booked for Nov 8-16. It's our 11th anniversary on 11/11/11. Would love to get a disc on CR, but anything would do. Hoping for 40% off room only.
Waiting here too! Need thanksgiving, mainly the week afterwards! Hoping by August something comes out? ugh, that's forever away..
Meanwhile... am 85 days out from our June trip and STILL waiting on a discount for that time period. Really frustrating to have air and dining booked, but not sure where staying the whole trip!
