still no pin for me

i spoke with a very nice cast member and said how we go every summer and would be cancelling our already booked trip if we don't get a discount. he was very nice and understanding. i mentioned how i know they have been receiving tons of calls for free dining and how i didn't want to take any of my bitterness out on him. i also explained that i'm still in my 20's and plan on joining DVC in a few years.... Disney has many years left to make money off of me but if i can't get good deals i would not be taking my vacations. it did nothing to hlep but at least i expressed my frustration! it felt good. he did say that if i get a pin to just call and my travel agent could apply it, that was somewhat optimistic. he said he wasn't sure how they were "dropping" pins so it sounded to me like perhaps more pins are still in our near future. i've been crossing my fingers, toes, legs... everything!

No pin for us either! So bummed! BUT, told a colleague who is also a DVC member to call and check his account...he was told he didn't have a FD pin now, but would be happy in the near future...

Sounds like they may be rolling these out slowly...

Maybe we should all just keep checking???

that is good news- let's hope!

our wish is to upgrade to the wilderness lodge... we are currently booked for pop but want to upgrade to riverside or wilderness. i'm fine w/ riverside.... do you think wilderness is worth the extra $? i guess i'm not sure how large it is, i have been to the lodge but never stayed there, like are the rooms really far from the elevators? we love the idea of being in one building

i'm doing all i can to try and get one too! i saved a $15,000 vacation on their site even though our budget is about $3000! hey- anything for them to want us to book!

I know and agree Manning.... but is Disney really doing well? In my opinion the economy is still bad--- the past two summers we had great general public discounts, do you think there will be one this year?
