As a DVC member I get to stay in beautiful resorts. However, once a year I chaperone a trip to Disney with 50 high schoolers to do the YES program. We stay in one of the All-Star Resorts on these trips. And, I LOVE sitting in the food court at 6:00am listening to them getting the kitchen up and running, drinking my coffee and watching old Disney movies on the TV in the corner. I wish I could start every day like this!

Been there done that too! Wish the high end resorts had food options like that -- it's what is lacking at Boardwalk!

I agree. That is one thing seriously lacking at most Deluxe /DVC resorts. The quick service food options are better at Value & Moderates than the Deluxe/DVC resorts. I think AKV has the best Deluxe quick service but even they could use a few more food choices.

i was surprised to read this...had a wrong impression it was the exact opposite!

Being a tennis fan, I have always wanted to spent a night in the Center Court section of All Star Sports.

I am surprised. Since BWV does not have a snack area inside the resort - it does have a little at the pool bar - otherwise you have to get on the BW.

don't consider the belle vue lounge a snack area - not enough real food.

A Foodie would be much happier with the table service restaurants at BW

But, if you are a family on a budget (of time or money), especially with pickier eaters, the variety and convenience of a value food court is quite enjoyable.

One of my bigger DVC "adjustments" was chosing to go to a park, then eat vs eat, then go to a park. It also helps to have some snacks in a DVC kitchen ;)

me to all stars was the very first resort we stayed in , you can never forget that .

If we have a car and grandchildren, we often drive to a food court at one of the values. We all like the variety that is there.

Lifestyle changes are reflected in the food court style of service . While BW has lunch and dinner options only Cat's place is open for breakfast. The Bakery's renovation in a minor appeasement of the void. Besides if sit down breakfast restaurants were in style HOJO's would still be in business (for those of you old enough to remember the days before McDonalds served breakfast and had drive thrus !)

I've enjoyed AS Sports and Music, and I really liked Pop on our recent visit. And the food courts are great; we make special trips to AOA for their veggie burgers and DS loves their caprese sandwich.

Our breakfasts and dinners at AOA have been much bigger hits (for kid and adults) than our breakfast and dinner at Kouzzina...sorry Cat!

Planning a trip in October to run in the Tower of Terror 10 miler. We've got the points to stay at OKW if we borrow but contemplating staying at Pop instead so we can save our points. With Rundisney discount it's $450 for 4 nights. Seems like a good deal but was a little worried we'll be disappointed since we are used to DVC. It's nice to see the good feedback.
