Still in Main St USA area?

I don't remember what they are called, but when we were little, my mom got these profile portraits of each of us near the Main St USA area. We had to look at something while the artist basically cut out a picture of our profile from black paper, then it was mounted on a card that could be framed....anyway, now that we are taking our first trip as parents of little ones, I thought it would be fun to get those done of our own kids. Anyone know what I am talking about? What are they called and can you still get them done at WDW?

Yes, the Silhouette Studio is still on Main Street.

edited: No wait...I'm not sure. I know it's still in Disneyland, but not sure in WDW.

Look for it in Liberty Square.

Yes there is still one along Main Street. As you walk down main street on the right hand side there is a little street to your right. That is where they are.

Yes, its still there. It's in one of the "alleys" along main street. On right going toward the castle. It's normally fairly quiet in that little nook.

You can also get them at a cart at DTD

I have silhouettes done every trip....and I found that the guy at Downtown Disney really takes his time to capture each detail, and makes little ones feel at ease, overall a very nice guy. Guy at Liberty area never spoke a word to us.....

I also saw a cart in Liberty Square offering silhouettes next to a cart doing caricatures, not sure of the price at WDW, but at Disneyland they are less than $15 each. I plan on getting some done this year, I have very bare walls, and thought they would add a very nice touch.

In regards to caricatures, I thought the best cart offering them was at MGM in front of the Brown Derby, he only does black and white and the frame was included in the [I'm pretty sure] $15.00 price.

They seem to have caraciture artists at the Disney resorts too. I noticed one at the Grand Floridian and one at Wilderness Lodge. For some reason I have the idea that the WL one did sil...(oh help, my spelling isn't up to this)..silhouettes (but I am probably wrong!!)

The ones at DTD are $12 and you get 3. Also he writes the childs name and yr on it. As someone else said he is very good at putting the children at ease.
