Still havent heard from an EM

Hi,
We mailed back our contract two weeks ago and our family and friends have already recieved the save the dates but we have not heard from any event coordinator. My DI is in the Military and the onlyt ime that he would be able to get away to go to Disney for a planning session would be over the July 4th weekend. I know that there must be so much going on at that time but I was hoping that we could some how be squeezed in. Has anyone ever gone over a weekend to plan the wedding, we are getting married in october and have not planned anything yet.. I am afraid that this will be the only time to go and I am nervouse about having to plan via email and phone. Has anyone done that?

Toni - I would tell your SM your concerns about doing a PS, and perhaps they can work some Disney magic for you. I know that it is possible to have your SM schedule your planning session before you even know who our EM is. I don' think they do planning sessions on the weekends though. From what I know they schedule them M-F at either 9am, or 1:00 PM.

I wouldnt worry too much about planning your wedding via email and on the phone. We did a planning session in WDW, but after the session, our EM changed, and I ended up having to basically redo the planning session with our new EM on the phone.

Whichever way you do your planning, your wedding be wonderful.

My husband and I are both military, and he has been in Korea the whole year, with the exception of the month he came home for us to get married. We did not do a PS at Disney and I planned the entire wedding via e-mail primarily and a few (very few) phone calls. Everything came out perfectly and Disney throws a great wedding.
