Trying to set up my touring plans and I only have time to fastpass either Dumbo or Barnstormer. Since Dumbo now has the play area for kids while they wait for their ride, would it make more sense to FP Barnstormer and let the kids have a longer wait for Dumbo on purpose? :confused3

The Dumbo play area is a 15m waiting area (there's a kid capacity) that leads into roughly a 10 minute wait. If the wait for Dumbo is 75 minutes, then you're still spending 50 minutes in line just waiting to get into the play area, but if the wait is 30 minutes then you'll be waiting 5 minutes for a play area, spending 15 minutes there, then waiting 10 minutes for the ride.

Or in other words, it depends on how long the wait is :thumbsup2

Oh! So...if you fastpass it, can you use the play area for 15 minutes and then go on the ride or do you not go into the play area at all?

Both the barnstormer and dumbo are disconnected from the FP system. You can hold fast passes for both at once.

FP riders bypass the "play area."

Twice last week we got FPs for Pooh, Dumbo, and Barnstormer within 5-10 minutes. Then we took a restroom break and got a snack. A half hour after getting FPs the ride windows opened up so we went from one to the next to the next with minimal waiting in the FP line and it took about an hour total. Both times it was in the evening on pretty busy days, so I think this could be done almost any time.

You could probably substitute the LM ride for Pooh in what I suggested above and do that the same way. Since the FP distribution for Pooh and LM are in the same place you can approach the line and call an audible. :thumbsup2

No play area. The fastpass line meets up with the exit to the play area.

Is it listed somewhere which rides are attached to the go system and which will allow multiple fastpasses at once?

We didn't know you could meet the characters while you wait! We missed that when we did the fast pass!

Not from Disney.
But, you can find out on various fan sites on the internet
which keep track of these things.
(This site is one of those places.)

Somehow the term "go" got mixed into this. :confused3

The system we're discussing is "FastPass" (or "FP.")

Wait, what? You can do any other attraction you want while you wait for your FP time. It's not in and of itself a special perk of FP to be able to meet characters. Or were you talking about something else?

From my looking around the internet, I know Barnstormer, Dumbo, and the Mickey fastpasses are currently disconnected from the FP system at MK. =) Pretty sure that's it.

Yup. So this means that at one time you could be holding fp's for Dumbo, Barnstormer, Mickey meet and greet, plus one other attraction of your choice.

When we were there a couple weeks ago, I ran and got FP for Peter Pan, Dumbo, and Barnstormer while my mom and DD rode Astro Orbiter (DD wanted to ride it). Later I got a FP for Under the Sea, Dumbo, and Barnstormer because DD wanted to ride those 2 again. Because those 2 weren't connected, we were able to get get a lot done in a short amount of time. It was great!
