Still dithering about my options!

I am having trouble making up my mind about whether or not to rent a car for our trip this month. This is our first time in a long time staying on property, so usually we've done the rental car. We're staying at the Poly, so will use the monorail for MK and Epcot, but I am not a fan of using buses for the other parks and Disney Springs. We're also spending a day and two nights at SeaWorld before we hit Disney. I think it might actually still be less expensive to use the monorail and taxi/Uber, but is it going to be more convenient than driving? Any opinions would be much appreciated!

We stayed at the Boardwalk in March and waited so long for a bus to MK (then transferring to monorail to Poly for Ohana). It didn't help that they have a tv/monitor showing the estimated bus arrival times to all the parks and the arrival time for the MK bus kept getting pushed back later. Sometimes not knowing is easier.
There were several cabs sitting outside and for the first time ever broke down and got a cab. It was $12 IIRC. We have had cars in the past for offsite stays and taking the taxi was way more convenient than driving and parking.
When comparing cost vs convenience, don't forget to factor in the cost of refueling before returning to MCO and time/cost of tolls. I dont know if it has changed but the last time we rented a car, there was only one lane with a long line for those paying cash.

Thank you so much for reminding me of the tolls! I think that and the fact that in your experience there were taxis waiting will tip the scales.

We're not renting a car for the first time. We're also staying at the Poly, so we'll use the monorail for MK and our morning in Epcot's Future World. I'm planning to use the bus or Uber to HS and AK, and will definitely use Uber for TL and DS, as well as for our evening in Epcot's WS (taking it to BW and going in IG). It's my understanding that Uber is less expensive than taxi and easy to use. I'm excited about not having to drive around this trip!
