still can't get free dining

I keep see people posting that are going the same time as we are getting the free dining. i have called disney many many times and they just keep telling me no you can not get it if all your dates are not within the promotion. Can anyone help me. i have tried ever since the day the offer came out. i tried calling different numbers at different times. they still tell me no. eveyone i talked to on the phone told me it is not the resort its the black out dates and i have asked to even talk to the supervisor and was told they wouldn't talk to me. i also have the disney visa card code for my card, still nothing.just don't know what else to do? just another bad experience with disney

There are only so many rooms allocated for the free dining and once they are gone thats it. (Some resorts do not even offer rooms) Have you asked about changing resorts to get the dining?

Well, I've been following the thread that I first heard about the free dining for disney visa card holders in since the night before the free dining was officially announced. Here is a link to that thread here on the disboards.

There have been a number of people who have posted that they got free dining for their trip and their trip started on Nov 22, or earlier. They said as long as their trip started by the cut off date, so their first day had to be Nov 22 or earlier, they were able to take advantage of the free dining offer. Several posters said they were able to get free dining over the Thanksgiving holiday! Maybe you could check out that thread and see what those posters have to say. Maybe there will be some tips there for you, or some advice they could offer to help you out when you call. What resort are you trying to find availability at?

We are going from Nov 22 to Nov 30. I was able to get a price adjustment (we already had dining on our reservations) to reflect free dining but not in addition to our room discount. We had used a previous code giving us 40% off our room (a $1000 savings), for our family the discount of free dining was more by about $700 on the 2 rooms. We are staying at the ASSp. I called the morning the offer came out. I don't know if any of this will help you. Maybe if you just try to book a new package and not adjust your exsisting one, maybe try a different resort, maybe you have a code that is saving you more than free dining would (if you have a small number of people). I really am not sure but it is or at least was possible, I have received the new confirmation and a credit to my credit card 9we had paid it off already.)

card you should have received the email with all the information
about booking this package. I'm not sure if this package is
available to the General public.

I just wanted to clarify that if you booked your trip early and then the dates came up for Visa reward Dining you could still get the discount. I want to book for Early or late Feb and didn't know if I had to wait.

Are there often discounts during that time?

We booked in February. We used a code for a room discount in August. We paid off our vacation 2 weeks ago then got the Disney visa discount last week. We got the price adjusted and a credit on our credit card that same day. If a discount comes up AND the rate is available at your resort they wl give you the adjustment.

I don't know about February discounts.

I am going 21-28 with the free dining during Thanksgiving. One CM did tell me it was blacked out, but I called right back and it was no problem at all. We even changed resorts, added some people, added a room and everyone in my party got free dining in both rooms! There should be some left as this was just done last week. All the values were gone, but you should be able to get into a moderate for sure! Just call back. You have to have the VISA.

You should be able to do this so long as a room is available. I am booked under this discount from Dec. 20-26 (Dec. 20 being the last day that offers the discount) and it applies to my whole trip. Just try back!

As far as not getting through to a manager - that is a real problem! I tried once before to speak to a manager as the person was giving me incorrect information on the 180+10 system of booking meals. She told me I couldn't speak to a manager and instead she put me on a conference call with another CM (another huge no no)! I was left there while they bombarded me with WRONG information, telling me that I had no idea what I was talking about.

Anyway I called back (same number) to file a complaint and asked to speak to a manager. No problems! They just connect you with one from Guest Services (I think thats the department). He was very helpful, told me I was right, took the name of the CM that was wrong and made sure I got all the ressies I wanted.

Call right back and just ask for a manager. If they ask why, explain that you've been treated poorly by an earlier CM and you are tired of the run around.

I had orginally booked in January for our upcoming Thanksgiving trip, 11/21-11/28. Then I got an AP discount on a room at POP in August and changed it then. I called this morning about the Disney Visa free dining and I changed from Pop to All Star Sports. My savings since what I began with in January with today's price, is $797.00! I'm am excited!
