I called today and they said due to the system updates no ADR's past jan 14th? anyone know when they will come up again? Also for 3 adults and 2 kids plus 6.5% tax and 18% gratutity was 212 and change  :crazy2:

are all meals at a sit down going to cost this much? We may be eating a lot of counter service popcorn::

Yeah it is an expensive meal. They don't all cost that much. Check allearsnet for all the prices and menus. Good luck! :cutie:

CRT is the most expensive character meal. The cost includes the meal and photos.

I sure hope it is worth it...
cant wait to see the smile on her face DD2.. priceless:worship:

Besides CRT (which ran us almost $250), our TS meals (CM, CP, MM, 'Ohana, 50sPTC and Artist Point) ran between $150 and $185, I believe, for a party of 5 + "infant" (DS2now3). AP was a meal for two, though, and I believe it ran a little under $130.

Your CRT bill is all about location, location, location. It's a fun experience! It was the first meal of DS and DNiece's first trip to WDW. We walked down a near-empty Main Street, took pictures in front of a deserted castle front and got a great window view table!! Love those 8:00 ADRs!!

I would call back. I also called yesterday (same day as you) and was able to make reservations for Jan 17-22nd. I got Cinderella's breakfast for 1 adult and 2 kids for $99.xx. My friend who is coming with us said she would like to go. I was able to call back and add her to my table and her cost for breakfast for 1 adult with tax/tip included was $43. I couldn't add dh to make it a party of 5 and keep our 8:10am time. Dh gets to sleep in that morning but he is happy about that.

That's about right. That would make your total around $150 + another adult at $43, so getting close to $200. When the base total is higher, the tax will be higher, as well.

I'd also imagine holiday pricing is in effect that week. That's so lame.

I have found that we do better sometimes at the sit-down restaurants with the children's menu (about $7.49 with drink and dessert). Of course, the character meals are a lot of fun with kids, but I try to pick one and choose sit-downs without the buffets for other meals.

You are strictly paying for the experience. You are not paying for food quality. You will get rushed through your meal by waitstaff. So is it worth the money?? NOPE! But, that's the price we pay when we have little princesses ;)

If it's Cindy you want to see and don't want to fork up the cash, book 1900 Park Fare for dinner. It doesn't include a picture and isn't in the castle but Cindy, Fairy Godmother, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Drizella and Anastasia are all there and it's about 1/2 the cost.

We didn't feel rushed at all!! Dana was our server, and he was AWESOME!! He made us laugh by saying that he was always in the background of everyone's vacation pictures. Sure enough, he was in several of ours.

I think it's definitely worth it just to be able to see your little ones' faces when they actually get to go inside the castle!! DNiece, of course, was in Heaven, but DS was enamored, as well!!

Do I sound like a CRT commercial yet? :rotfl:

Our little princesses, indeed! Price is no object to see your toddler absolutely freak out when the princesses come out strolling amongst the tables. (we went to Norway in Epcot for the princess breakfast) She could barely sit :yay: (she was 2 1/2 when we went) The best part is when they're that young they don't think these are people dressed up in costumes - these are her princesses in flesh and blood!!! She was dressed up as Snow White and when the "real" SW came to her, she babbled a-mile-a-minute, poor girl had no idea what my daughter was saying, but she did so great with my over-excited daughter. I had tears in my eyes it was sooooo cute! THAT, is what you're paying for. The food was mediocre. Pooh's bkfst at Crystal Palace was way better.

FAV FOOD BUDGET TIP - Cosmic Rays in MK: Buy a double burger combo, plus buy an extra bun ($0.80 or something) and you have 2 cheap, good sized portions. I was apprehensive about trying to buy a bun by itself (read this tip on this board) but cashier didn't even flinch. They have a topping bar so load up your burger with grilled mushrooms, onions, etc. It's the fullest you'll get in WDW at $5 per person.

I booked CRT Lunch on Friday for 27 Jan, for 2 adults 1 child and an infant it was $126. They would not let me apply the DDE discount as it's not on the system yet.
