Stich: The Great Escape

What do you all think of Stich: The Great Escape? Iv'e herd bad things about it. I will be going on it soon. But I want to know what you all think?

Looking forward to seeing it in a few days,I don't think it is going to be a headliner attraction but from what I've read I think will enjoy it.

It was cute, we had never seen the alien ride. I thought the harnesses were very unconfortable. My DS's 14, 11 & 9 loved it! DD 6 thougth it was OK...she wasn't scared which was what I had been worried about.

I am in the middle on Stitch... I really enjoyed AE. When they re-did the attraction for Stitch, they softened it for the younger audience. It isn't as bad as some make it out to be. It is more humorous than scary. The lights still go out. I won't share more as I don't want to eliminate the surprises.

The key to the harness system is to make yourself a little taller when it senses your shoulders. Either put your hands on your shoulders or sit extra tall when it does the height sensing. After the sensing process is over, sit normally.

DH and I did this separately. First he did while DS (4) and I did the buzz lightyear spin a few times. Then, I did Stitch while they ate lunch. This was our first disney trip since we went separately 20+ years ago so nothing to compare it to. DH loved stitch...told me it was a must do. I thought it was ok, but was expecting a bit more action because of the harnesses.

Both of us agreed that this would have scared our 4 year old senseless. I talked to a couple of moms later about the ride. 1 had a 9 year old boy who screamed the whole time and she was powerless to run to comfort him. Another had a younger son (maybe 6) who liked it.

Stitch was cute as normal, but the attraction is intense especially for little ones really learning about their senses. If you have children going on this, I strongly recommend gauging their personalities before having them do this.
