Steve Young and The 19th Wife

I'm reading the 19th Wife by David Ebershoff. Of course it is fiction but since plural marriage did happen with Brigham Young I wonder how Steve Young's genology ties in with the book.

I'm almost finished with the book and it is a great read

Steve Young was a quarterback for the San Francisco 49'ers and I believe he is the great great great grandson of Brigham Young

Steve Young is a former NFL quarterback. His great-great-great-grandfather was Brigham Young. Brigham Young had a couple dozen wives. One of them was Steve Young's great-great-great-grandmother.

I'm a Niners fan and I remember for a few years Steve mentioned Brigham Young a lot in guide bios and stuff.

Steve Young, ahhhh my biggest football fella crush ever! Many Sundays were spent watching him play for the 49'ers.

Steve Young's dad married us 19 yrs. ago! And when my son, who's now 18, was 5 he was seriously injured and my husband ran into Steve's mom telling her what happened. She had some autographed photos of Steve and she also wrote a note to our son on the photo. It still hangs framed in my son's room.

Emily Dow Partridge was one of the wives of Joseph Smith and Brigham Young. I guess after Joseph Smith's death she ended up being one of Brigham's many wives. The genealogy continues down to Steve Young ex 49'er football player.
