Steve Irwin (crocodile hunter) dies..........

The article says that his wife doesn't know yet! I mean, hopefully she knows now, but how do you print something like that when the poor woman doesn't even know?!

It's very sad.

That is so sad! My whole family used to faithfully watch his show - he was just so funny. And as someone else said he had such a passion for helping animals and educating the public.

This was the first thing i saw when i got on the computer this morning. I woke up DH to tell him too. I feel so sad for both the loss of steve and for his children won't have their dad anymore....

So sad. Considering his line of work, I am surprised it didn't happen sooner. I feel so bad for his wife with two young children. :grouphug:

He was sooo close to Bindi, his daughter. I cant imagine how his family will cope. Such a positive, energetic and lovely family. :guilty: I have been in shock all day. It was dream of mine to meet Steve and Terri. I was so happy when they made 'Collision course'. I was hoping there would be many more Steve and Terri documentaries for years to come.

I just got online and found out. I can't believe how upset I am. I, of course, didn't know him but I feel like I did. I loved his enthusiasm and his craziness. I feel so sad for his wife and kids. I had always planned on going to Australia one day and meeting him. It's a real lose, he fought hard for wildlife and it's so sad that he's gone.

How terribly tragic. :(

The animals of this world lost their number one hero today. :( He was a great man and a champion to all living creatures.

RIP Crocodile Hunter.

Oh my. How very tragic. :(

Bindi is the same age as our younger daughter and we always love to watch her, thinking how much Catherine would love to play with animals like Bindi does. He and his wife seemed so happy together. I feel bad for all of them :sad1:

I heard about this at 1 am last night, and went to bed hoping it was a hoax. So sad that it isn't. The world lost a truly compassionate, giving soul. My kids and I have spent countless hours watching Steve & his family on their journey to educate (and entertain) the world on the value of respecting and conserving wildlife... A sad, sad day.

I am in shock, complete shock. Who would of thought that Steve Irwin would be killed by a normally harmless stingray?

Wow, I can't believe it, I just can't believe it.

Did I say I can't believe it? WOW.

How about his poor wife. She must if lived through hell, everytime he went out to catch a croc. She must of mentally braced herself for bad news everytime. But snorkeling? I am sure she let her guard down.....only to lose him anyway. :sad2:
