Oh my god I just heard. My DS 9 is so upset he won't even come downstairs. He loved that guy. Wanted to be him when he grows up. My prayers are with his family. How awful for them
I think that has been wrongly reported by the media. I've heard nothing at all about Bindi being with him. He was filming for her show.
The weather up in Cairns and Port Douglas has been a bit rainy the last couple of days, not the best weather for what Steve wanted to do up there. But Steve being Steve, could not sit still. He just had to go out and try to get some shots.
What we heard John say on the news toniight was the Steve was not a guy who could sit still. He told the guys this morning he was just going to go out and try and get a bit of footage for Bindi's show. Yesterday they were filming snakes and today he is gone.
Bindi would have been back at the Zoo having school lessons I would imagine. Terri was at the opposite end of our country.. way down in Tasmania and Steve at the other end in Port Douglas.
Yes it was very sad, shocking news to wake up to this morning.
I could not beleive my eyes...I had to re-read it a few times.Just so,so sad and tragic.What a great man,such a loss.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
We'll miss you terribly Steve...
Debbie
I was never a fan of Steve Irwin, or his shows, but my grandmother was a huge fan and watched him faithfully. She even had a Steve Irwin bobble-head doll on her entertainment center! What a tragic and shocking (and freakish) death! My prayers go out to his family and friends....
