Steph's journal (Posters Welcome)

Hi Steph! New York & Co has been like my new favorite store lately!:p What a great idea to get the suit in pieces like that so you can wear parts of it now and parts of it later! Excellent planning!::yes:: And I've got some City bucks to use end of month too. That suit thing sounds like a good plan! I just might have to try it.
Hope your back is feeling better. Have a wonderful day!:sunny:

hi shoe-a-holic stephanie, nice to meet you :wave2: :p

that new suit sounds fabulous! i agree with sharon, good idea to get different pieces in different sizes. i'm just too cheap to buy anything until i'm at the size i want to be. so i'm swimming in my current clothing (except for the one pair of jeans my mom bought me). your approach is much smarter than mine :)

and if flex starts over, did you have weigh in? any good results to report? i hope so :)

Thanks for stopping by. I really can't wait to wear my suit. I just have to come up with a reason to wear it.

Sunday - I didn't weigh in before I ate so I put it off til monday

Lunch - cheese ravioli 9pts
Snack - baked lays 2pts
Dinner - cheese quesadilla 5pts
italian wedding soup 4pts
Snack - assorted candy, cookies, chips 10pts (this was while at the almanac at work and I did a lot better than I thought I would)

Total - 30pts, 4 flex used, 31 remaining
Exercise - beginner pilates

Monday - I weighed in this morning and I either lost 1lb or gained 5lbs. Gotta love that stupid scale. I'm hoping for the 1lb loss since that is also what it showed on sat and thur and fri showed no gain or loss at all. I'll check again tomorrow before I make it official.

Breakfast - peach yogurt 2pts
Lunch - healthy choice meal 6pts
soft pretzel 3pts
Snack - cucumber 0pts
sunflower seeds 6pts
Dinner - chicken noodle soup 4pts
pretzels 3pts

Total - 24pts although it probably is closer to 26 b/c I guesstimated on some of the points for the day
Exercise - 1 mile treadmill, upper body weights

silly scale, lost 1 or gained 5? man, that's a huge difference, i think your scale needs a kicking too! but i'm sure it meant the 1 pound loss and that it will tell you that when you recheck tomorrow ::yes::

like usual, you're doing great with the points. and i'm drooling over the idea of ravioli and quesadillas. mmmm. if i didn't have dinner planned out already... :p

good luck with "official" weigh in tomorrow, and do let me know if the scale doesn't cooperate (although we are expecting that it will of course), because we will need to set up an official scale kicking :teeth:

Hi Steph, good to see you're doing so well. Congratulations on booking your next trip to WDW. Let's do a happy dance together, you go in May, I go in August, woo hoo!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Your goal to lose 15 lbs by May seems very reasonable. Just stay on plan and keep looking towards that trip to help keep yourself motivated. I know it works for me!

When you say you shop at New York and Company, do you mean online? We have a Lerners that I shop at in my local mall which carries New York and Company. I love that store and was so happy when I could finally fit into the clothes there. I'm going to have to check out the website.

Keep up the good work Steph!:D

Okay well it looks like I did lose 1lb this week but...I found out my scale was off by 5 lbs so I actually weigh 5lbs more than I thought I did. Oh well - I still have lost the same amount of weight. I'm going to check out digital scales when I get done work today so I'm not going to change my stats in my sig until I get the more accurate reading off of the new scale. This loss means I'm only 1lb from my new clippiee though! Woohoo!

We are having a luncheon at work today in celebration of settling a multimillion dollar case. I know I shouldn't go crazy but in the past year I have put a lot of hours in on this case and am really happy it won't be going to trial b/c that would be so much more work so I want to celebrate. I have no idea what food will be there since the client is catering it for us. He's a really great guy, plus he just found out he's getting paid several million dollars.

Lunch - 20pts (just a guess)
Dinner - KFC 20pts

Total - 40pts, 14 flex used, 17 flex remaining
Exercise - none

Steph - It definitely sounds like its time to replace that scale! I had to adjust my starting weight about 3 weeks into my WW because my old scale was wrong as well. I have to tell you, my new one is much more accurate and reliable. Don't worry about your weight being higher than you thought. Think about what size clothing you are wearing now!:teeth: And the scale is moving in the right direction, so no worries there either!

Hope you did okay at your luncheon. Sounds like it might be sound difficult choices for you. I'm sure you did fine and enjoyed it to boot!

i had the same sort of scale issues! my old analog scale was first of all, not accurate, second of all, hard to read. so yeah, digital seems like the way to go. i've seen digital ones on sale at sears and places like that for about 20 bucks i think. not too bad. i got a tanita from linens n things a few weeks ago for 30 i think.

hope the luncheon went well! you definitely deserved to treat yourself a little bit after all the hard work you put in. hope you dind't go too overboard...although, that's what flex points are there for :p

have a great day today :sunny:

I wasn't able to handle myslef too well yesterday. There was just too much good food but there are some leftovers today at the office and I will make good choices about what is leftover, including eating up some of the salad. Dinner from KFC also didn't help but that was what Dan was hungry for and I didn't feel like making something else for me. Also no exercise and I wasn't able to pick up a new scale. I think I'll hit target after work at the mall tonight and get that taken care of. I really need to catch up on exercise today. I'm going to try and do both pilates and walk 1mile. I have a feeling I'll run out of flex this week too since my best friend will be visiting this weekend and I'm sure we'll eat out both friday and sat. Oh well, we are going to take a walk though either sat or sun so that should help.

Breakfast - oatmeal 2pts
Lunch - rice 4pts
chicken 4pts
salad 0 pts
2 small rolls 5pts
Snack - peeps 5pts
Dinner - cheese quesadilla 5pts
pretzels 3pts

Total 28pts, 2 flex used, 15 flex remaining
Exercise - 1mile treadmill

hey steph, i'm just checking in on you. did you avoid the leftovers at work? or at least make good choices? i hope so :)

and maybe you won't go over flex...i mean, there are definitely options available when you go out to restaurants that can keep you on plan. but if you decide to go over, that's your decision. who knows, you may surprise yourself :). getting some walks in is definitely a good idea too, earn those aps so you dip less into flex ::yes::

hope you have a great day today :sunny:

okay if anyone is wondering why i didn't journal today just check out the community board and you'll learn that i lost my job as a law clerk today. I could not control myself with food today, I was just too upset so I'm just going to start fresh on Sunday. I still plan on doing pilates and weights tonight. I also plan to walk tomorrow before I have to pick up Elizabeth (my best friend) from the train station. I should get back to serious journaling after the weekend and I'll catch up with everyone's journals then too. I promise to get back in the groove of things and not less this become a setback to my weight loss.

Oh I did get a digital scale and I weigh 10lbs more than the old scale. Oh well I still have lost almost 60lbs since even though I weigh 10 more now, I weighed 10 more when I started.

Exercise - beginner pilates and upper body weights

We're here for you if you need us Steph!:grouphug: Don't worry about the food too much right now. Work off the stress with exercise! Sunday is certainly soon enough to get back OP!
Have a wonderful time with your friend this weekend. The timing seems to be perfect on that visit!
Heres some :sunny: :sunny: for you!

Thanks for all the support sharon and marcia. It means a lot to me.

So my first day at home is going well. I got up without the alarm this morning. Isn't it odd how its a chore to get out of bed when you have to get to work but you can easily get up at the same time on a day when you don't have to get up that early. I finished cleaing up the front room and put blankets and pillows on the futon. I also cleaned up the bathroom and some of my bedroom (not much though) and did a load of towels. I also got my mile in. On the bad side, I went to the mall and bought some stuff I don't really need and ate at Ruby Tuesdays. I did exchange some of my cash for disney dollars - that way I won't be able to spend it before vacation and I'll be sure to have some $$ to buy some treats too.

I also gave the final flight details to the limo company. I don't know if I told you guys but I am surprising my mom, brother and dan with a limo to take us to and from the WL and airport in Orlando. I can't wait to ride in the limo. It will be so much fun!

Hi Steph! I read about the limo you reserved when I read your post over on the Transporation board. Cool! I reserved a limo too and I haven't told the kids.

Oh my goodness, I didn't realize you had lost your job. I scrolled down just now to read some of your previous posts. I'm so sorry to hear about that Steph. I'm sure you'll find something soon though, you're a smart gal.

I'll check in with you on Monday. Take care!:D

Oh, man, Steph, here's a big hug for you:hug: . I'm sorry about your job. That stinks. All I can say is that something bigger and better must be waiting for you, so try not to be discouraged, and never forget we're all here for you whenever you need us.

I'm so glad Elizabeth was there with you this weekend. I'm sure she's just what you needed.

Take care, girlfriend.

Erin

I had a great time this weekend with Liz. Now its time to get back on track and back on plan.

Lunch - ham and cheese bagel 8pts
Snack - coffee ice cream 8pts
Dinner - olive garden leftovers 10pts

Total - 26pts
Exercise - 1.15 miles

Hi Steph!
