Full disclaimer: I am a daily weigher. I've weighed myself everyday for close to 20 years.

That being said, I've watched the scale go up and up and up for the past 20 years. :sad2:

About 6 weeks ago I decided to count calories (using the Lose It app) and joined a pretty intense Boot Camp (3 times per week and walking 3 miles a day on my off days).

In 6 weeks, I've only lost 5 pounds.

But, I'm not complaining: ;)

It only took 20 or so years to realize that it is not just about the number on the scale - it is about the inches lost and the changes in my body. :thumbsup2

I recommend that everybody on this journey take photos and/or measurements as they tell the real story.

That is a VERY cool visual "description" of 5 pounds! Congratulations!!! Did you take measurements at the beginning?

The only thing I regret about my own weight loss journey is that I was too scared to take measurements or pictures at the beginning.

I totally agree Laura!!
I am a daily weigher too. But I also know that I will lose 5 pounds and nothing changes, the next week I lose nothing but my pants are to big.

I had my weigh in and measurements done Monday and while I only lost 2 pounds that week, I lost 4 inches.

I do full measurements on the first of every month, both arms, both thighs, both calves, chest, bra band size, hips, and waist.

My coach does right arm, right thigh, waist, hips, and upper chest (back fat) every week.

You look great!! Keep up the good work!

You look great, Laura! :cool1: Amazing before and after -- as a daily weigher myself ITA that the real story is in how your body looks and how you feel. Keep up the good work! :yay:

Thanks everyone :)

I took my measurements for the first time about two weeks ago. I figured I would redo them once a month.
