Has anyone ever done the Stem to Stern Wine Tasting on the Wonder? If so, did you enjoy it, how much did it cost, and what times/days was it offered?

it was great -

the timing of each session depends on which cruise you take and what each of the cruises have scheduled - we did the stem-to-stern on the nassau day of the wonder 3-day cruise - but when we couldn't dock at castaway cay the next day they offered another wine tasting -

as for the session - it's really informative - and fun - you sit at a table in palos - usually 4 at a table so if you don't have four people with you you get to meet new people -

there's usually white & red wines - they give you chees & crackers to munch on - and for the last tasting you get to taste a champagne - and they show you something cool -

it's about $12 - but for the amount of wine it's reasonable - and it's an activity that you can really learn something

On the 4-nt Wonder - the wine tasting was on Wednesday afternoon. I'm not sure how much I actually remembered - but I really enjoyed this activity.

It cost $12. Just stop by guest services early in the cruise to get your spot reserved!

It's usually on sea days in the afternoon. (2 or 3pm?) It's enjoyable and relaxing. Book early, they do fill up.

Wow, it must have been good if you can't remember it! Only joking, I know what you mean.

I'd like to add that this is worth doing, even if you're not a "wine person"...just b/c it is so informative. Also, it's worth doing if you've done it before. We did it on the Magic 2 years ago, and the WOnder last year. Each sommelier (my spelling stinks!) gets to pick the wine, and even if you, for some reason, get the same people twice (a team does the presentation, with the head sommelier leading), there is a good chance that they will not pick the same wines twice. So, it's never the same presentation twice. THe only thing that is standard, I think, is the champagne, which happens to be mine and DH's favorite anyway, so that's not a problem with us!
5 glasses of wine, 1 glass of champagne, bread, grapes, cheese, a pin, and an hours worth of knowledge for $12....a great deal!

I didn't know that they picked different wine each time. Now, I have to do it again! I did learn alot last time and I do think it's worth it.

We did it on the Magic last year and loved it. It was held in Sessions, not Palo and there were only about 20 people total probably. The champagne was *excellent*

It's amazing how you think trying six SMALL amounts of wine is no big deal but we left there giggling and in a VERY good mood!
