Stellar Veg options at Sanaa!

Vegetarians (and vegans) rejoyce. AKL delivers again with Sanaa. There is one veg main dish the the menu and that is Dum Biryani and it is a delicious pastry-veg-rice dish. I don't mind only one dish - as long as it isn't another veggie burger. The apps are great, I recommend the bread service with one warning - one of the chutneys (either coriander or tamarind -the green one) is like a jalapino-wasabe. I love hot food and it made me cry. The decor is wonderful as is watching the giraffes graze outside. For those of you with mixed families (veg-carnivore) my peeps loved both the lamb and the steak. We aren't really drinkers but the beer and wine selections looked interesting. We split the dessert sampler and the mango pudding was to die for.
I highly recommend Sanaa and will be going back again (and again).
I have to add that the service was wonderful. The manager came to check on us and when she asked if she could get us anything my brother in law requested a lion (to watch on the savannah). A couple of minutes later a server came by with a little toy lion to show him. Very friendly atmosphere.

Just to let you know, in Deb Wills' latest All Ears newsletter, she just returned and ate at Sanaa and said they offer both vegetarian and vegan menus separate from the regular menu, so you may want to look for that too next time you're there!
