Hi all,

When you pick steak from the menu here is it always chopped up into smaller chunks?

Do they not serve in whole?

Not sure about having filet chopped up into pieces!!

Gosh it is great....yes, it is chopped.
Each piece/bite nice browned on the outside, cooked to perfection on the inside. It was by far the best meal on trip in September. The best service too.
Get the filet, it is much better that the sirloin.
ENJOY!

Thanks HeidiGW,

I made my ADR months ago but now looking at menu just not sure.

Did you have a dessert? Anything to receommend? Doesn't look like huge choice.

This is our must do every trip, very much like we had in Japan. They are always cut, and cooked beautifully. I had the Green Tea Pudding this trip, it was FABULOUS! A real shame to call this delightful dish Pudding, more like Flan, DH had the cake, moist and excellant.

Yeah, the desserts are bit iffy.
Thankfully, you are pretty full from the meal.:goodvibes
Since it was my birthday--we didn't tell them, CRO must have noted it--they brought me a piece of cake with a candle.
I would not have ordered it because it either had ginger flavor or coffee in it. I don't remember. (It was chilled, yellow-layer cake with smooth chocolate frosting.) But the flavor was very mild, so subtle that I liked it.
The kids and I all ordered basic soft serve. It went well with the cake, but nothing spectacular.
I've had the tart in the past, again nothing to write home about it.
I generally look at it as an excuse to HAVE to get something from the French or Norway bakeries...I mean that dessert doesn't count since I really didn't like it.

On a side note, if you like sushi--I don't, but my teen-ager and hubby do--you can order some as an appy from other place in the building. Toyko whatever. Please seem to really like it.

Also, if you have kids push them to order the meal prepared in front of them. It is better than the other kids meals that come in the cute monorail plate.
My very picky daughters were going to get preplated teriyaki chicken dinner the first time we went in 2005 and servers pushed them to order "the better meal" saying they would bring them teriyaki sauce on the side. They knew in the very least they would have meat and white rice, so they complied.
We talk still talk about the three meals we've had there, and last month Princess Fussy, who has never met a vegetable she likes besides corn and broccoli, ate alot of veggies with her meal. I am still in shock!
Have a great time!

We ate there for the first time last week and it was great! The steak was very tender and delicious. As for dessert, there was a fruit tart as well as a chocolate ginger cake I believe when we were there as well as the soft serve. I had the fruit tart and my mom had the chocolate cake. The chocolate cake was delicious!!

Yes - teppanyaki style is cut up into pieces just the right size to eat with your chopsticks! :)

American steakhouses = full steak (not cut)
Japanese steakhouses = steak chopped into bite-sized pieces
