Looking for a recommendation for breakfast in and around the area of the YC, BC, and Boardwalk. We won't be going into Epcot that day. Thanks for any info.

Captain's Grill.

Kouzzina if you are there before October 1.

If you want a character buffet, Cape May is it.

We had breakfast at the Captain's Grille in the Yacht Club on 6/6/14. I had the lobster omelet and my boyfriend had eggs Benedict. We had sides of grits and turkey sausage and we had coffee and Bloody Marys. Absolutely fabulous. They also have a breakfast buffet but we preferred to order a la carte because the choices were so wonderful. We are gonna have breakfast there again on 10/1/14.

Another vote for Captain's Grill. We ate breakfast there most mornings when we stayed at YC. It's a real hidden gem - never busy, best breakfast food on property, and always great service. Less expensive than many other places too, if paying OOP. They have both al-la-carte menu and a buffet. DH, who is not a buffet person at all, even tried it a couple of times and really enjoyed it.

Thanks so much that's easy and in our resort! Sounds yummy too. Made a ADR for 9 am.

Not to hijack, but does anyone know the price for children for the buffet at Captain's Grille? They surely must have a different price than the adults, but I can't find it.

no worries. I just looked at the menu on the all ears site but I didn't see they had a buffet but they do at cape may. I have to check again!

There's a buffet at Cape May (with characters). At Captain's Grille you can order a la carte for breakfast, *or* go to the AYCTE buffet. We've eaten at CG before and my DH and DS opted for the buffet and DD and I ordered a la carte. It was a couple of years ago, so I don't remember the buffet prices. Does anyone know?

And, while we're on the topic, is Ale and Compass the best place to get coffee and tea for our refillable mugs in the morning? We're having breakfast stuff delivered, so it's really just the morning caffeine we'll need.

We've done this before at YC, but the waffles were rather uninspired. I'm wondering if it has improved?

We placed an order with Garden Grocer: muffins, donuts, fruit. And we'll bring along some single servings of cereal. That should be enough.

Yes, Ale and Compass is the best place to get your coffee and tea. They also have muffins, fruit and other breakfast items.

Captain's Grill has a great breakfast. We ate there for breakfast twice last March and I've made two more ADR's for our Sept trip. You can order the buffet and they was also bring you a custom egg dish , too. I was able to get gluten free Mickey waffles, too. And it here is a good variety of foods on the buffet. Juice and coffee are included.

Custom egg dish?

Ok, now I have to add this place to our list of restaurants to go to on the next trip. I think I have over 10 restaurants planned for breakfast :rotfl2:

There are scrambled eggs on the buffet. If you prefer fried, poached etc, you can get those instead. Just tell the waitperson & they'll bring them to you.

that's good to know thx. I feel this is a solid ADR and convenient before we leave. We have a character breakfast setup at CP in MK so I think at CG we might just do a la carte.

OK, while we're on the topic: Where at the Yacht Club can you refill your mugs with either coffee/tea or soda?

I'd recommend Cape May Cafe if you're looking for a character meal, or the Captain's Grille if you aren't. Both have great buffet spreads, or you can also order ala carte at the Captain's Grille. We've had great breakfasts at both.
