Staying On Property in February

A quick question, I booked a question through AAA for Portofino for one night the first week in February. Will we be allowed into Islands of Adventure an hour early to experience Harry Potter or do we have to book a package through Universal?

No package necessary at PBH. We never book a package. They'll just want to see your hotel room key at park opening. Have fun.

You only need to book a package for the offsite hotels in order to get early entrance.

The onsite hotels accommodations get you early entrance and unlimited express pass access with your room key.

It is cheaper to buy them online at a place like undercover tourist.
