We are booked from 4/2-4/8 at the Grand Floridian. That was all we could get for a conference I’m attending. Our flight leaves from MCO the 9th, very early.
I was thinking of staying the last night offsite near the airport. Any suggestions? My main concern is getting from the park to the hotel with no car. Uber? Are there hotels with park shuttles? Should we stay somewhere onsite to utilize Magic Express?

Stay at the hotel IN the aiport!!! You can use Magical Express to the airport the night before and be right at the start of the security lines for your early flight the next day. The hotel is lovely. I've stayed there several times when I had to fly in late at night.

Thanks! It’s definitely a possibility. It’s a bit more than I want to spend that week, I guess because of spring break. Hoping to find a cheaper option since it’s just one night.

If the MCO Hyatt is out of your budget, I, personally, would just book a value at WDW so you can utilize DME. I just checked and, with the gift of magic discount, you can book a standard room at ASMu for $135.90 plus tax. I think once you take into account any transportation you would need to get off property and then to the airport, this might be the easiest and most cost effective.

You could take MDE to the airport late the night before your flight, then Lyft/Uber or airport shuttle to an airport hotel. Lyft/Uber back to the airport the next morning. Remember, MDE will pick you up 3 hours before your flight.

I would consider how valuable your time is. Factor the cost of an airport hotel and transportation to and from that hotel to the airport. Then look at the cost of the hotel in MCO. I would look at the difference after all the costs have been included, and make my decision.

It is a rough choice though. Right now we are pricing airfare to Aruba. It has not budged and is hovering around $800 per person, so my DD asked if I would consider an early flight out of Boston. Sure, but how early is early? I have asked her to figure out the total cost of parking for a week, as well as the hotel for the night before. If we are not saving a substantial amount I am not going to add a two hour drive back and forth and a middle of the night drive in to forego hotel costs.
