Staying offsite...member benefits?

We have a rather sudden trip coming up and will be staying offsite. Can I still use my DVC card for discounts (restaurants, recreation, etc) onsite?

Yes. You can't pool hop or some of the things that require on-site ressies, but the DVC discounts are still in effect for things like restaurants and mini golf etc.

Yes. Aside from pool hopping I've been able to use everything else even the Valet Parking at the Boardwalk.

you also can't park free at the theme parks. this is a onsite resort benefit.

now if you have an annual pass you still get free parking plus their restuarant discount

Interesting, I have parked for free just showing my DVC card at any of the parking lots. I am sure it is a perk or have they taken that away?

the free parking was for staying on site (all the WDW resorts have it not just DVC) - not for being a DVC member.

You might be right, perhaps we just showed our annual pass.

Now that you mention it, we did pay to park once and then they deducted the parking fee from our annual pass cost when we picked up the annual pass when we were going into the parks.
