Staying offsite and just booked advance FP+ for next week!

:lmao:

I haven't been on message boards for many years up until now. Is it still called thread hijacking? Or is it called something else now?

There is a little button on posts which you can use to report things to the moderator if it suits you. And even if you start a thread, you don't own it, sorry to break the news to you. There is another handy function where you can put people on an Ignore List as well ;)

Maybe I misread something..quite possible. It's been a long day and I could totally take a nap right now :)

That said...this is obviously still in testing too. I'd be surprised if the final prebooking times were this different (60 days vs. 2 weeks).

I would be very surprised if the prebooking times were different too. Seems like all tickets (regular or AP) are headed in the same direction.

No one says you own a thread, but why even have threads if you can just go off topic whenever the mood suits you. Hell, why even have forums for that matter.

Just thought this new information didn't need to be watered down by some folks claiming to know capacities and what Disney is thinking with their decisions.

Thanks - let's keep this thread to offsite visitors receiving success in booking FP+!

Or anyone having information pertaining to offsiters advance booking FP+.

We just spent the day at MK and used FP+ as offsite guests. It worked perfectly. We rode Big Thunder Mountain, Peter Pan and Space Mountain using FP+. We had our tickets in those clear pouch type lanyards and found we didn't have to remove them from the pouch. They scanned just fine. I set the first FP+ ride for 11:05. We saw Cinderella, then we rode Pooh. Pooh broke down so the gave us these paper FPs we can use on certain attractions up until March 31. We went to Ariel's Grotto, rode Under the sea, rode its a small world, rode haunted mansion and the went to our first FP+ at big thunder mountain. Then we watched Mickey Philharmagic. We used our second FP+ for Peter Pan. By now it was freezing and everyone was getting miserable so we went in gift shops to try to get warm. We hung around and did Space Mountain and then came back for the hotel for a break. I think if we wanted to do more attractions it, it would have been fairly easy. We also didn't use the paper FPs. Maybe next time.

So far I think FP+ is great. We pretty much walked on to every ride. Ariel's grotto might have been the longest we waited and it was only about 5 minutes.

Great to hear!

It didn't bother me in the least! It just brought back some fond memories of my own thread hijacking. I used to be quite good at it, if I say so myself! :cool2:

Excellent to hear your update!! Thank you so much for remembering to post it. I'm also glad to hear that we don't have to remove our tickets from the clear plastic lanyard sleeve.

Now go get a light jacket for tomorrow. Sleep well! We will be there around 10am. Sunday is DHS day!

Today is 14 days for me and nothing new on my end. MDE still has FP+ locked. Hopefully things change at some point during the next 2 weeks.

Bummer! I am at 18 days and was so hoping it would open up for me later this week.

Anyone else having any luck????

Wish I could link my tickets! Bought from expedia but they are vouchers, not tickets until we get there. But...I paid less than UT. So I have that going for me..

Anyone else offsite having any luck? I wonder if it was a just test for a few days and then they shut it down. I would think we would have more posters if it was put into effect for everyone.

I'm under 14 days to go :cool1: - I've linked tickets and made several ADRs put itinerary items into MDE...here's hoping that I will get the opportunity before we leave. I don't think there is anything more I can do! :confused3

i didn't read all the pages in this post, so hopefully my info isn't redundant.
I was asked by email to participate in a test of FP+, and to respond by March6.
I did not respond to the email or log onto MDE. I did nothing, in fact. And on March 7, I get an email congratulating me on being selected to participate in FP+ test. (Not planning on participating)

This was solely based on dining ressies I believe. I have ONE park dining ressie, Biergarten. The rest of the dining I booked was at resort or boardwalk restaurants.

My DH and I leave for WDW this Saturday. He has a conference. He'll get after 4pm tix from the conference, and I dont even have a ticket yet.

This was interesting to read...

I wonder how they're picking people then :confused3 I'm sure there a lot more families like yours that got the opportunity but decided to pass, including other people at your DHs conference. Most group reservation guests don't get their tickets until at least the day of arrival (including people staying offsite).

It's sounds like the exact same email I got and the dates are the same too. It referenced my ADR too. Maybe you don't even need tickets linked or any of it. What date is your ADR? Mine is March 12.

Sounds like targeted test to me. Bummer - was hoping to have this rolled out to all offsite folks by the time we go!

Thanks for the info!

I'm curious, for those of you who have been able to pre book fp+ this close to your travel dates what time frames are available, and are all rides showing up?
