Staying offsite and just booked advance FP+ for next week!

Wow. I am shocked to add that I technically have no tickets yet but dining plans and I do have access to FP+ as well.

Edit to add I need my tickets first. Purchasing those now.

That is great for you! What are your travel dates? Thanks!

My reservations are April 26th through the 30th. The let me book fast passes for all of those days back on Feb. 25th. It was not a rolling 60 days. I believe I read that you can book up to 7 days from the begining of your stay.

I apologize if this has been covered already....

I have always stayed onsite and we are contemplating staying offsite (we have annual passes). I think the option is available to book FP+ reservation if I'm not staying onsite too (which is great)...

I have a stupid question though....how do I use my FP+ reservations at the turnstiles if I don't have a magic band for my stay? Do I scan my annual pass card? I believe when I purchased it last July, there was a new format/chip inside, but not sure????

This thread was originally started for non-AP holders who were staying off-site.

Um, O.k...... I guess my question is still the same though. What do you use to get through the FP+ turnstiles? Your ticket????

Looks like this is standard now. This shows up when I go through fast pass and says I am offsite

Now, same-day FastPass+ testing is included with your theme park admission. Disney Resort hotel Guests and Annual Passholders can even test making FastPass+ selections in advance.

Have you purchased your tickets yet?

Are you a non-AP off-site guest? Would be nice if we kept the facts straight here to avoid confusion. Last week or so, there were some non-AP offsite guests selected to test advance FP+ booking. This was the discussion in this thread. Now we have AP holders (offsite and onsite) confusing things.

I am an non-AP offsite guest who has my ADRs, tickets, and MM linked on MDE and still have no advance FP+ booking capabilities and I'm 10 days out.

Same here Brian - hopefully we will get something next week to be able to book

So why does it matter if people posting are passholders or not. I am a passholder with adrs booked for our offsite stay March 29 thru April 6th, and I am not able to book fp+ in advance. Are you saying it is standard now for passholders that are staying offsite?:confused3

Uhm, ok I have been on the DISboards for almost 7 years, and never ever come across a thread that passholders couldn't comment on or take part in. And since you didn't start the thread it was rude of you to tell someone asking a question the thread was not meant for them because they are a passholder:sad2:

I can't really answer your question, because I'm not sure, we haven't used fp+ yet, but when we were there in December our new annual passes Had the new chips in them and worked fine at fp distribution s. Also it's not manditory for onsight guests to use the MB, so your pass should work fine. At some point passholders are supposed to be able to get the MB even when not staying onsight. After all many passholders live close enough to go home at the end of the day instead of staying on or off sight. (As was the case when I lived down the street from Disneyland)

Friends of mine are going to Disney this coming Tuesday and staying offsite. They have ADR's made and linked their tickets to their MDE. They still cannot book FP+ online. Any chance they'll be able to before they leave for Florida (Sunday)?

Thank you for communicating in the respectful way I'm accustomed to on the DIS! :goodvibes

I think it is fine for AP holders and non to be posting, it is just a bit confusing at times who is able to do what. Really, we are all in the same boat of trying to figure out where we stand in terms of advance FP+ booking.... it is a frustrating and somewhat stressful situation for us to be in. :grouphug:

Were going on Sunday and had FP+ opened up to us yesterday. Were AP holders and always stay off-site.
